Vanity: Is it just me or is anyone else seeing Ezekiel 38-39 shaping up??

Has anyone else read "Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenberg?? While I KNOW scripture will unfold EXACTLY as God fortold, it seems as though God has given Rosenberg a true gift. I can't help but think with the nuke treaty, this plane crash, they way Obama is turning his back on Israel, etc. that we are on the precepise of something HUGE and that it may be unfolding very close to what Rosenberg wrote. Rosenberg is not the authority, God's word is, but I really feel God has given him the gift to take scripture and current events and tie them together. Does anyone else see this?? What are your thoughts???

Sorry, I was reading all posts and had a belly full by the time I got to your post. (Not that you said anything I disagree with) I should not have posted as if responding to you.

I am all for the discussion and differing points of view. It was the posts that referred to us that hold a pre-mil view as being followers of Satan that got my undies in a bundle.

Grace needs to be the order of the day for some people. (not you BTW, lol...)

In my reading of all scripture on the subject there is the Tribulation and the Great tribulation.

7 yr Trib and 3.5 years of the Great Trib. The point at which the antichrist is revealed and the fullness of God’s wrath is poured out on man.

What is a church that’s Bible based? That’s my problem.
I don’t know where to go.

............”It doesn't take very long to realize that a thorough understanding of the Bible — and this would actually apply to any complex work from any culture — requires specialized knowledge, and a broad range of specialized knowledge in a variety of fields.”............

I will disagree that the bible requires a “specialized knowledge in a variety of fields” to understand what is written. A child understands many of the verses and yet a theologian can spend hours referencing verses to gain an enlarged understanding. The Bible itself oftentimes interprets its meaning.

The problem some face is realizing it is a Book as none other, and that isn't even open for debate as it's history reflects it's passed thru generations and still stands as the most popular read.

I think rather it is with ones attitude and how the scripture is approached that can determine what will or not be understood. You can read it as a record of History and it will prove to be interesting in that respect, you can also read it for comfort or encouragement and it does this as well, you can read it to find out about God and He will surely reveal Himself thru it's pages, or you can search it for answers and they will too be revealed with time.

Very admirable that you are learning Turkish to preach to the Turk.

Of course you need to be very very careful...but do you ever get into discussions with them about the genocide of Christians in Turkey?

There is nothing I am more certain of (and believe me, I have posted this frequently here on various posts) than we are on the edge of something HUGE.

I also believe today was the first day of WWIII.

Hi Princess.... Your question of where to go is not unusual when one wants to discover more about God and just what their own standing might be. This in itself is often times evidence God is moving in a persons heart and mind and that’s a very good thing. We simply on our own do not desire to know apart from His drawing us...so this is actually exciting and a beautiful thing to have occur in our life. But the questions of where to begin remains.

In my opinion you cannot go wrong by starting to read the Bible. Don’t be concerned with what you might not understand rather pay more attention to what you do understand. Ask God to show you what you should know and about Himself...I promise you He will not disappoint you and you will be quite amazed.

As for a church to go to....even that will be revealed in time but I generally think it is very wise to begin with you and God and the letters He wrote to us as a compass to discover what He desires we know.

There are many who attend a church but lack the relatioship with God He desires...so beginning with Him is the perfect place to start. Just read and talk to Him about what you are reading...then read some more. The book of John is a great book to begin in for it reveals Gods love to us in so many ways and is a comfortable read.

I think when people mention a Bible believing church ...well that is church talk though they are quite right to say that. It just means the leadership and the people believe in the scriptures, what is written and the pastor preaches and teaches from the Bible.

I understand that. And I am not suggesting a “good Christian” for lack of a better word will be spared everything going on. However, I would rather try (and understand I am saying try, not accomplishing) to be the best I know how per the teachings of Christ than to assume there is on point in tryinig. And yes I will fall short. I am deeply grateful for the Atonement- I understand the principle but I certainly do not understand the process.

I just know Christ died for men’s sins and did something for me I can not do for myself. And that is precious to me.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I deeply apprecaite your perspective.

Eschatology is one of the most precarious aspects of theological thought since it attempts to explain things that have not happened yet, and even when they do our language and understanding might be too limited to fathom them.

My main problem with the topic is that the west has often view the “last days” through an American perspective. The middle east climatic battles are read on what is America’s role.

My Orthodox Christian beliefs tend to view my Church’s role which says that we are Christians first, and nationalist (Americans) second.

Hello anti-hillary.

I enjoy very much Rosenbergs books and as mentioned before have his most current articles and alerts e-mailed to me as they happen. Indeed He is very much aware of prophetic events but does not go off into the hyper state that some do every time there is something that might mean something prophetically.

We are called to be aware but more so be wise in our understanding of the times..... that means though we understand the times we are not to be hasty to think ahead of God as some do...as He could and has slowed things down or speeds them up in the past and as He chooses.

Earthquakes and that mentioned in Matthew have and will be with us...these are the birth-pangs and the beginnings. I generally focus on the alignment of nations and watch the world stage in that respect....and it is continually in motion.

But it is most interesting how things have shifted since BO took office and the overall opinions of world leaders concerning the moves Bo makes... or better said lacks making. The US has always been in the forefront and has many times used it's powers to put pressure on rouge nations and such.. to keep the lid on otherwise volatile situations. It is obvious our leadership now has no aspirations to do this and other countries see this quite clearly, so they are on the move in a big way while the door is open to do so.

Bo is giving a free pass to all while he suffocates the United States. But even this is prophetic....the Us will loose it's leadership role among the nations and we see this happening under the leadership of this President....so it could be for only a time the nations will move as we see them doing now, only to see that window close down after we elect the next Pres. And then things may calm down once more....or they will errupt even further....time will tell. For now I am looking still for His return...each and every day as I have done now for several years.

From a comment you made to someone....

For now I am looking still for His return...each and every day as I have done now for several years.

Does this mean you're looking forward to dying?

That is an interesting article....I did note that BIBI isn’t interested in any forced plan from BO. But he could agrree to something if it is indeed tied to action against Iran...though that is much like blackmailing Israel.

As many years as I have known the Lord I would have to say it this way....I am so looking forward to finally seeing Him without the hinderances we have in our earthly life. He is the love of my life.

You see it’s rather like a wife greeting her husband after he has been away so to speak. Though she has been occupied and doing work while he is gone...she anticipates his return....the longer he is away the stronger the desire to see Him again. Though you stay in contact through communicating you just want so much to be together. So it is a longing for the Lord one has within themselves. “ a heart panting after God” as is written...the more you get to know Him the more you want to know and love Him.

I am ready to go any time He wants me to go....but not until all who want to come to Him have done so, which is the only reason He hasn’t come for us so far. There are people He is still drawing to Himself and we don’t know when that will cease.

That's exactly how I feel.

Sometimes I get a 'euphoric feeling', for lack of a better description', when I see an obit of someone I knew of from way back when. Not a jealous feeling but close. I guess that's wrong.
