Jewish here, don’t want to get into Catholic business, but I think that title just begs for an answer - No, it is not just a Catholic problem.

Thank you! Recently, a married Jewish rabbi, with children, was arrested in Albany NY, on charges of sexual abuse.

Albany area rabbi arraigned on abuse charges - No children seized from Chabad or Hebrew school

This problem is universal but the msm have focused their spotlights on the Catholic Church. If anything, it has brought very positive results because the Church has responded by cleaning out those who committed these offenses. Here in the US, the Catholic Church has implemented a program to prevent this from ever occurring again. Anyone who comes in contact with children, including volunteers, janitors, educators, etc. must be fingerprinted and undergo a background check. They are also required to attend a VIRTUS program which educates us on how to detect would be predators. Who will take charge of doing the same thing with educators, camp counselors and ministers in other religious denominations?
