Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter; and they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them."

Seems pretty cut a dried to me.

I CERTAINLY do not interpret that to mean that the "men of Sodom" were inviting the newcomers out for a night of drinking Harp Ale and throwing darts at the local Irish pub.

The New Living Translation uses the following words which modern English speakers can understand :

But before they retired for the night, all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. 5 They shouted to Lot,

“Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!”
