[CATHOLIC CAUCUS] The 3:30 Beads!

A statue of the Virgin Mary stands at Most Holy Rosary Church in Syracuse. The 3:30 Beads

A few days back, on May 10, Irisshlass commented to me;

Maybe we Catholics here can form a prayer group and at a certain hour of the day or night, we all say our rosaries in our home. Even though we are not together we are in heart ...
Although I am not a speck Irish, my husband's roots (he's a "Grogan-O'Toole") have worn off on me a bit, and I could hardly think of denyin' the suggestion of an "Irisshlass." So without further ado[s], here are the "rules."

Join us in saying a Rosary every day at 3:30 p.m. (your time zone). The Rosary will be recited for the conversion of the world -- add in your own personal intentions as well, and we, as a group then, will *all* be praying for those intentions. If you can't make the 3:30 time slot, pray when you can and alert Our Lady as to your "group." If praying the entire Rosary is too daunting a task, just say one Decade; one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, one Glory Be. If that's too much, just one Hail Mary (for starters!) is fine too.

Fr. Corapi's Virtual Rosary site which is very easy to follow: Link.
Another site with the full Rosary on tape form in addition to Gregorian Chant, Chaplet of Divine Mercy (which can be said at 3:00). Link.

Keep in mind you can say the Rosary at all times that aren't distracting. That is to say, walking/walking the family pet, driving/driving to or from work, swimming/running, etc.

I think it is also a Signal Grace. :)

I found this doing a search.

What is a Signal Grace?Signal Graces are signs sent by God to help us make the right decisions in life. Moses saw a burning bush as a sign from God, and other people received signs from God daily. Signal graces usually come about as subtle hints to help keep us moving in the right direction - these signs are truly gifts from God.

Remember - there is no such thing as a coincidence, everything happens for a reason! By praying the rosary you will be more conscious of the way that God tries to help you and speak to you every day.

That’s very cool. Another poster on another thread was just recently talking of signal graces. Thanks a lot for sending that link. Coincidences? Nah. I agree. Don’t think so.

Pope Benedict reciting the Rosary. This afternoon, I’ve rediscovered how nice it is to go to the gym and walk around the track with rosary in hand! It’s like getting a physical workout and a spiritual workout all at once! I’ve heard lots of Catholic friends say they pray the Rosary while walking. It’s clearly good enough for Pope Benedict. Link.

And if you want to speed things up ... Running the Rosary, by Tom O'Toole.

I forgot to add the caption to the picture of the Pope ... here it is:
Pope Benedict XVI (L) walks with his personal secretary Georg Gaenswein to the Maison of Saint Bernard in Martigny, in the Swiss part of the Gran San Bernardo mountain in Switzerland, July 19, 2006.
Sure looks beautiful, doesn't it?

I really like this idea! Also, the idea of just saying a decade at a time is a good one, for those who can’t carve out the fifteen minutes or so needed to say a full Rosary. Over a Mon-Fri, they’ll have said a full Rosary, and could do another full one over the weekend!

Click on the shirt, SuziQ. If that doesn't work, there's a link provided to the right of the image of the shirt. My husband purchased one for me at our local Catholic gift shop. If you have one, give them a call. Maybe they carry this shirt. It's a high quality fabric (thick) and has withstood many washings and still looks good! I get lots of comments on it too.:):) (So far, all good!)

The Apostolate of The Rosary

What do we mean by the apostolate? The apostolate is the work of an apostle, not only of the first followers of Christ but of all the faithful who carry on the original mission entrusted by the Savior to “make disciples of all nations.” A good description of the apostolate is to be a channel of grace to others. So we ask, “How is the Rosary a channel of grace?” By now we have the testimony of at least forty Popes who over the centuries have recommended, even urged, the people to propagate the recitation of the Rosary as a powerful channel of grace to the world. Our Baptism and Confirmation give us both the right and the duty to engage in what we are calling the apostolate of the Rosary. --Father John A. Hardon

Remember ... 3:30 Beads! (your time zone) ... be there or be square ... :):)

My sister’s father-in-law just died...He is Catholic and a good man. If everyone could remember him, his name is John in their prayers, it would be appreciated...Thank-you.

My Rosary is running, and your sister's father-in-law's soul has been included. I'm sorry ...
