As a Colombian Knight and lifelong Catholic, this is deeply troubling. The Church is, and HAS, every right to fend for the poor and the downtrodden. Where was the outcry when our economy tanked in ‘08 and the illegal flow slowed to a trickle? The Church takes a stance here with which I disagree completely. Lets just get to the point, shall we? Mexicans and Arabs can, and do, have similar appearances. There is NOTHING racist or xenophobic implied in that comment. It is a very easily observed FACT! Does anyone know how many terrorist operators have literally “waltzed” into our country? The answer here is NO! The Church needs to focus on nurturing the spiritual needs of their congregations and stay out of the policies of the government. Unless vicious, atrocious human rights violations are occuring, of course. Hells bells people... these illegals are not even being ARRESTED! They are not the victims of ANYTHING except the failed state of Mexico and her various Central American neighbors.
