See you later then. I know we have talked about this before.
I know that I have told you before in a post about how beautiful was my mother’s Annointing of the Sick about a week before she died.
Last month, we attended a family reunion with many of my cousins. While there, one of my sisters and I told the story to one of my cousins whose mother was in failing health. That cousin and her siblings lost their mother last week, but they, too, were able to gather around their mother one last time as she was annointed. And, like us, experienced great joy in their sorrow because of the sacrament.
It is so precious — so wonderful a sacrament.
Think of all the people that Christ healed as they were dying. The blind man, the hemmoraging woman, the Widow of Nain’s son — God’s doing, not Christ.
The paralytic lowered by his friends in front of Jesus. There are many others.
I especially liked reading “The 3 Levels of Reverence” and I think it clarifies the honor we give to saints, the greater honor we give to Mary as the greatest saint, and the devotion which belongs to God alone.
Saint Christopher is one of my favorite saints. I always ask him to join me when saying the rosary while driving.
Thank you for posting the Saint Michael Chaplet.
We probably will again :-)
From your previous post — you said something about having to leave for a while. I was just trying to be polite.
And you are polite - as always :-) But now I’m off to bed. Good night!
bump for fisheaters.com. This is an excellent Catholic website.
Glenn Beck comes to mind.
So is the Wanderer.
So much great learning material out there.
Sometimes it gets overwhelming.
Thats when I take a break and just read a few faves.
