"The Lion King meets the PCUSA"- A wonderful, creative processional to open the worship service at the GA in Minneapolis, MN. Sunday, July 4, 2010.

John Calvin must be so proud!

Look at the expressions on the children who were obviously pressed into service by pervert parents. None of them look happy, not one. And the "deacons," even with their cute little homemade stoles, don't look too thrilled either to be following a thinly veiled honoring of ceremonial pagan bestiality with wild animals. Mighta been the skunks, mighta been the bimbo-and-bear act at the start.(or was it a bull?) Hard to say.

From the comments: ""Very creative - but what has this to do with Jesus? I thought that only liberal Roman Catholics and Episcopalians went in for this sort of thing." "Mainstream Protestantism has really run off of the rails, hasn't it?" "I present to you the Gospels as found in Disney's Jungle Book." "How did the Presbyterian Church go from John Calvin's austere worship to this? "Are they Christians?" "This is creepy."

“Many churches these days have become little more than poor theaters where fifth-rate “producers” peddle their shoddy wares with the full approval of evangelical leaders who can even quote a holy text in defense of their delinquency.
And hardly a man dares raise his voice against it.”

A.W. Tozer (1897-1963)

Did you notice the audience? I can’t figure out if some of them are men or women.

Paul’s Epistle to the Corinthians is coming to mind.
