Glad you had a good trip & the doctor wants to do more tests. Hugs & Prayers.
We’ve got to work that one out with the holidays and weather and getting him and another doctor in the same room.
Do you have the tests taken close to home and they forward to your doctor?
If so, wouldn’t it be great if you can have a teleconference between the 3 of you instead of ‘that’ trip.
You’re in my prayers, and I’m hoping for the best!
Good news as my prayer is being answered for you...important you have Dr’s. who are willing to see beyond the standard...especially concerning you situation. Am happy to hear this Dr. is willing to go further. That is good news...
I did watch the videos you had posted earlier on. What a tricky and complicated dis-order! Hopefully some answers will be on the way soon...will be praying fo this Dr. to have eyes to see and the Lord to impress him where to look for the “something else” going on.
Glad you made it thu the storm....Here in Western Pa. the snow band covered my area...my deck has over a foot of snow!
>> He also said that it doesnt make sense that ...
I like that kinda’ thinking.
How’s your energy level?
My prayers continue for you each day, metmom.
Still praying for you MetMom...looking up to the Lord.
Thank you for the hopeful update, and for the wonderful weather report :)
God is good.
Easy blood tests? What’s the doc’s theory?
Thanks for the update.
Did he already take blood for those tests or are you going to have to go back for that?
What are the implications of his understandings to date?
Glad you’re safely home.
PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS.
I forget who offered to help you at your home occasionally for a day or so . . . I noted that you could speak for yourself but that I thought you lived too far UPSTATE NY to make it practical.
Thanks so much for the update, metmom. I’m relieved to know that you are safely home. :)
All of the tests have been done at home. No point in driving to Boston to have blood drawn.
I’m doing OK as long as I don’t really strenuously exert myself.
He’s looking at tryptase levels.
They’re trying to determine what the mechanism is that is causing the reaction since it doesn’t seem to be the usual IgE pathway.
It’s still snowing......
Every day they extent the lake snow forecast.
They’re predicting rain this weekend, which is the worst thing to have with this kind of snowpack.
The local ski resorts opened already though. Hopefully, they’ll have a good Christmas break season.
We’ve yet to have our first snowfall. Usually, the first snow of the season is on or about Thanksgiving day. It is cold, however. Rain after snow is bad.
I found this:
You probably are almost as knowledgeable as the experts by now, though.
How is your untreated blood pressure?
Winter weather stinks on ice!
LONG LIVE GLOBAL WARMING!
I hope you get better soon. I get despondent over my problems, and then I remember that there are people who can hardly even eat, and that puts it into perspective for me.
Good. Stay warm. It’s showing signs of being a chilly Winter.
Excellent, as is my cholesterol.
For that matter, aside from the fact that I can hardly eat anything without reacting, I’m in great health.
Every test I’ve had keeps coming back normal or negative.
Did you ever contact that Doctor I mentioned some months ago?
Have you done any complete fasts, food and water?
No and no.
Could you send me the guy’s name again?
Things were very hectic in Aug and Sept with the kids going off to college. They’ve finally settled down and I could do that now.
It’s going to be very snowy downwind of the Great Lakes.
The lakes are really warm from this year and I’m not surprised at all over what we’re getting.
I fiugred a good cold Canadian blast in Dec would do this.
At least the ski resorts will be happy.
Good luck with that doctor. It sounds like he might be on the right track.
I’ll still be praying for you.
>> Its going to be very snowy downwind of the Great Lakes.
Hopefully enjoyable, and not too strenuous.
Thanks for keeping us up to date !
Continuing prayers. :)
Continued prayers for your health.
It sounds like you finally found the right doctor. I’m happy to hear that.
Continued prayers for you.
I moved can’t get online like before but praying for you. Love In Christ!
A few more things to comsider:
I’m on Gastrocrom.
It doesn’t seem to be making any difference.
Thank God that he wants to be thorough at least! Mabe they will be able to find the problem.
How goes it with the eating?
years back we didn't have this information.
