Father Corapi has also said that anyone who equates baby butchery to the death penalty is a mental “little person”.

In speaking with faithful Catholics all over the world for the past twenty years there is a consensus among them that the average Catholic doesnt know much about their faith. Likewise there is an overwhelming consensus that if we did, the world would be a very different place. In the United Sates of America we have over sixty million Catholics. If these Catholic citizens knew their faith and then voted and lived their faith, this country would be incalculably better off. The larger question IMO is do the bishops know much about their faith? If so, and if the above statement is true, why do the bishops vote for and support a whole litany of liberal and progressive issues? And if not, what qualities is being sought in a candidate for bishop, if not spiritual maturity?

Thank you for that post.
I have had to explain a couple of times this week that while I am Catholic and pro-life, the Church does allow that the State has the right to impose the death penalty.
The death penalty is not vengence. It is the State’s justice and says that this person cannot live in society because of the heinousness of his actions.
