It is a Latin flavored exersize, it looks like too much movin’ around for me, I’ll stick to the treadmill, hiking and yard work.
yup.
lol. well, that’s nice
Many strains. The concept of yoga is thousands of years old. Some of those strains are based of physical fitness. Breathing exercises, meditation, cleaning your body out, are not antithetic to Christian teachings.
It’s nonsense like this that makes Christians seem like space aliens to regular people. It is entirely possible to do yoga exercises without knowing a thing about Hinduism or its teachings.
I know one guy who has lost about 50 pounds doing Zumba. Good way to meet new female friends.
I did yoga classes years ago. It’s a perfect exercise and tones the entire body. I was a Christian, toned out the
“spiritual” messaging and used that time to pray. It was very beneficial.
I did not sense any evil presence. Perhaps some classes are that way. Mine wasn’t.
I’d fallen away from the exercises and would like to take classes again. The exercises are really good for someone with a physical problem also. You only do them to the point of discomfort...some you don’t do at all. It depends on your physical capabilities.
If we’re going to get into things, shouldn’t Christmas day be moved since December 25 was a pagan holiday? Should Christians not put up a Christmas tree because it has pagan roots?
Yoga meditation was what blocks Christians from yoga.
Here is 16 pages of a simple explanation of meditation.

Try to stay on topic.
I am on topic. I’d like a clarification on this. If doing specific stretches and ballance exercizes is going to pull me toward the big evil, should I also get rid of all my Santa decorations? If we’re really going to break down all of our daily actions and determine WWJD, I’m curious to know what the yoga-is-going-to-send-you-to-hell croud thinks about jolly ol’ Santa Claus.
Read post 37 again, you keep posting to it as though you are reading it totally backwards.
I get into a Zen state when I'm at the firing range. Guess the author and the OP think I'm punching my ticket to hell!
K, so there is the suggestion that yoga and Christianity can’t go hand in hand. So I ask if December 25 and Christmas can go together. I don’t do any of the anti-Christian stuff as I practice my lotus. What is worse for Christians? Practicing yoga without the pagan or anti-Christian focus, or taking the kids to sit on Santa’s lap?
I think that you do fine conversing with yourself, enjoy that.
LOL! I was on the U of Akron’s rifle team. Some of the best discussions I’ve had with God were during those moments on the range!
Are you a Christian?
