He agreed with his father's denial of the Holocaust when STONE COLD SOBER.

The guy is a raving loon and a racist.

I didn't say he wouldn't lie when drunk, or that drunks do not lie - I said you don't get OUT of a drunk something that wasn't IN there to begin with.

Holocaust denying Jew hatred is apparently something he ‘cut his teeth on’, and is ingrained deep within him, just waiting for some liquor to lower his natural inhibitions towards saying such hateful (and incorrect) things.

What race is Jewish, and after generations of Hollywood hatred of Christians and making entire movies to attack Christianity, doesn’t this sudden concern seem a little out of balance.

I don’t know what Mel’s quotes regarding the killing of Jews and Christians in camps during WWII are, but I know that I can fill a book with the most devastatingly harsh anti-Christian quotes from leading, respected, Hollywood figures, and like I said, putting that hatred into their movies to endure forever, and to be shown to the entire world, is common for that anti-Christian industry.

Hollywood as an anti-Christian propaganda mill, is unmatched in history, yet Gibson, who was a beloved figure until he made a Christian movie, has to be destroyed, there is a larger agenda here, that you seem to share with Hollywood as you defend efforts to take his career away.

The Jewish people are a Semitic race.

Sudden concern? I think raving loony Jewish conspiracy theorizing Holocaust denial has been an ONGOING concern.

So because of their “hatred”, Mel's hatred is to be excused? Moral equivalence? Really?

Larger agenda = conspiracy theory again? Yeah sure, because they hit him with their mind control ray and MADE him say that “all the wars in the world were started by Jews.”

Take his career away? Not in the slightest. I saw his latest movie, and will no doubt see his next one; and I think the cast of Hangover II are idiots for working with Tyson but having moral reservations in working with Mel Gibson.

But to deny that the guy is a whack job, racist, antisemitic conspiracy theorizing, Holocaust denying loon is to deny reality.

But the man sure knows story structure and pacing! :)

Hollywood and the media despised John Wayne and was against him, Wayne had to fight them constantly to get his message out. Wayne was attacked on anything that they could attack him on.

I don,t doubt that one bit, scum does what scum does, oh, are we talking about the media? gee:

Sammy Davis Jr.?

Hollywood is a largely Jewish run, anti-Christian industry, that is on a crusade to destroy Christianity, yet here we are determined to stop one guy that has never done anything in his work that was anti-Jewish, but he did make a pro-Christian movie.

The scale is way out whack, and the left’s agenda is clear, and you seem to be sympathizing with him losing his job, he just lost his acting job on a movie because of a years old drunken rant.

But by all means, invent a Jewish conspiracy to get Gibson to rant about a Jewish conspiracy! It is amusing.

Addicts tend to seriously wreck themselves and the ones who love them. Mel’s got a monster on his back. I hope his bottom has been reached so he can heal and make amends before he dies.

We also need to remember that God looks on the inside, he does not look at things like we do.

If some one is forgiven, does any one else know it except God?

Every true believer has a cross to bear, i may not understand yours and you may not understand mine but its there, some may seem very small and others may be so enormous that it is impossible for us to see the reason for it.

I believe there is so much more to this thing we call life that we would not be able to handle it if we knew it all, and that would be especially so for believers.

Well i don,t know but that is what i believe.

Gibson invoked a conspiracy when he ranted and raved that “Jews are responsible for starting all the wars in the world”, he also thinks the “fake” Holocaust was a big conspiracy.

You keep talking about a “larger agenda” and heaping doubt upon the idea that this Malibu cop was not part of something larger. Something larger would be a CONSPIRACY.

Gibson has nobody to blame for his antisemitism and holocaust denial but himself, for listening and taking to heart his nutcase loon of a father - who raised him up to be a nutcase loon antisemitic Holocaust denier.

Wow, when you chop everything up into pieces an rearrange them you can get to any where. I never said anything about the cop being involved in a "conspiracy".

You don't think that Hollywood has a "larger agenda"?

The left and Hollywood went after Mel before his Christian movie was even made, because they heard about the script, now he is losing his career, and you are defending the left, yet you are uninterested in the industrial sized attacks against Christianity by Hollywood, where they spend billions to destroy, attack, create hatred against Christianity on an international scale.

No, Hollywood is just in business for the money. It is pure coincidence that virtually none of the big executives or stars are conservative Christians. /sarc

I think that the only reason Mel, with his religious beliefs, was allowed to become a star is that they figured he was too much of a drunk to cause trouble. Hollywood has since realized it miscalculation, and is trying to drum him out.

By all means, circle the wagons around this loony antisemitic Holocaust denier as a person worthy of defense.

You could do little else that would be more effective in discrediting Christianity as to try to set this guy is our poster boy.

He is a antisemitic conspiracy mongering Holocaust denying loon.

That is simply the truth.

He being an antisemitic conspiracy mongering Holocaust denying loon is serving the “larger agenda” of Hollywood more than it is doing anything conceivable to hinder it.

It isn’t a matter of circling the wagons around him, it is a matter of telling anti-Christian, racist bigots, (to use your language, since Christians aren’t Jews) that after all these years they can become a little less obsessed with destroying the man, at least a conservatives can.

Hollywood doesn’t bother you, a generations old war against Christianity by Hollywood doesn’t bother you, Gibson losing his career, doesn’t bother you, only his drunken insult against Jews bothers you, that is an unusual case of tunnel vision and selective outrage, and bigotry for a supposed conservative.

Destroying the man? He lost a job because people didn't want to be associated with him. Inconsistent as they worked on the prior movie with a convicted and unrepentant rapist.

Am I obsessed with destroying Mike Tyson's career as well? No. Would I want to be associated with him? Not ever.

It is you who wants to make this about Hollywood and about Gibson being ‘under siege’ by Jews.

I say it is about a raving antisemitic Holocaust denying idiot and the people who (inconsistent or not) don't want to work with him.

I like the guys movies, and even pay to see them in the theater - but let us not lose sight of the fact that the man is a CRAZY LOONY RACIST with no knowledge of history that isn't bent by his raving loony world view of Holocaust denial and the idea that Jews start all wars.

To you, it seems, he has the right enemies - so his idiocy and ignorance and racism can be excused.

I don't see it.

But I guess unless I declare the man a living saint without sin, I am not concerned enough with the “generations old war against Christianity by Hollywood”.

Baloney!

Your lunacy is obvious.

I am a Christian and have there is nothing bigoted or racist in pointing out Mel Gibson's own words.

He denies the Holocaust.

He thinks Jews started all wars.

He is a loon.

People from a movie don't want to work with him. They are free not to.

This is only an attack upon Christianity if you are seeking to elevate Mel Gibson to be the poster boy for Christianity instead of the fringe nutjob (who thinks he is more Catholic than the Pope) that he is.

An attack on Mel Gibson is not an attack on Christianity.

Saying people are free to not work with Mel if they don't want to (while pointing out the inconsistency in that they worked with a convicted and unrepentant rapist) is not buying into the Hollywood “war” against Christianity.

Yet that is the entirety of your argument.

If I point out that the guy is off his rocker and a racist, I must hate Christians (I am a Christian), be a bigot and a racist, and be for the “war” against Christianity by Hollywood.

Preposterous! Ludicrous! Idiotic! Infantile!

When asked about his father's Holocaust denial and if he agreed or not he said “My father never lied to me.”

He advocated his Father's Holocaust denial. This was quite awhile ago, and many people let go his little equivocation and dropped it; he was making too much money for all the right people in Hollywood - and nobody wanted to dig too deep.

In light of his “The Jews are responsible for starting all the wars in the world” rant, his Holocaust denial and the abject lunacy behind his worldview comes more clearly into focus.

Your idiocy is obvious.

Four years ago is not “after all these years”. It was four years ago. 28 July 2006. Going 87 mph in a 45 mph zone, drunk to the gills with an OPEN bottle of Tequila, ranting and raving about Jews starting wars and “sugar t*ts”! (under siege by Jews, they must have used a mind control ray, and GIVEN him the Tequila! Yeah, that's the ticket!)

But unless I sweep it under the rug and declare him repentant (he didn't) and reformed (he isn't) I must be buying into the Hollywood anti-Christian war and be a bigot and racist.

Awwww, the poor widdle millionaire is losing work? Well, when you sh*t in your own bed, it takes some cleaning up.

But be sure to cry yourself to sleep that he will not be working on “Hangover 2”, no doubt it would just be a vehicle to further the “war” on Christianity anyway.

What a loon!

He was raised up in his father's Church, learning from his father. When asked about his father's WELL KNOWN Holocaust denial, he said “My father never lied to me.”

He supported and advocated as truth his father's Holocaust denial.

That sort of shoddy thinking is ALSO behind the lunacy of thinking and saying that “Jews are responsible for starting all the wars in the world”.

If you think a conspiracy on the scale of the ‘invention’ of a false Holocaust is possible, so would be a conspiracy whereby Jews are behind all the wars in the world.

The guy is a loon!

Besides all the stuff that happened four years ago (all those years ago!), he just recently was on tape saying things about “N*gger” this and “Wetback” that.

Oh, but I am the racist and bigot for pointing out that this is NOT a man worth defending! Sure, keep telling yourself that. Maybe make up some more conspiracy theories about Jews laying in wait with poor widdle Mel “under siege”.

Amusing!

Have you seen that video the BBC did on reindeer eating that mushroom ~ they are large ones, so the reindeer grabs a big bunch and runs off with it ~ looks like he has a red nose.

Then, later, the reindeer stands there with his eyes circling. Check out one of several short subjects: >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkCS9ePWuLU.

In context it certainly is.

While Mel Gibson admitted that “some” Jews died in concentration camps, his answer to his father's rationale that the Germans just couldn't have possibly killed that many, they didn't have enough gas, most fled, etc - was that “My father never lied to me”.

But I guess no bridge is a bridge to far for “Saint Mel” for some people.

He said stupid things and made himself look like an idiot, now even other Hollywood idiots don't want to work with him.

He has nobody to blame but himself (and possibly his father, who taught him so much that was supposedly never a lie).

We are retrogressing here. Yes, he's a "loon" ~ an awful of folks with bipolar disorder can give you that impression.

On the other hand, it's a very well-known condition and those who personally know such folks do try to LOOK BEYOND IT ~ because, frankly, not a lot can be done.

There are medicines that help ~ and the best thing you can do is encourage the victims to use the medicines.

Frankly, it's stupid to stand there with your arm outstretched pointing your finger at them and doing a hissy. It's not like they can control it!

The context was an badgering interview trying to make him denounce his father. He was obviously uncomfortable with entire line of questioning and gave ambiguous responses. Your piecing together a "denial" in this context is an attempt to read the man's soul.

You may think you have reason to suspect that Mel doubts the six million figure but to say the he "denied the Holocaust" is patently false.

Here is the quote in it's context.

Here is the relevant portion of the interview by Peggy Noonan, and Reader's Digest, along with the quote that our resident bigot has been misusing over and over.

RD: Your father. I have read in some articles that your father has some very conservative religious beliefs, and, according to at least one story, that he has questioned some of the accepted versions of the Holocaust. Is there anything you want to share about that?
Gibson: My dad taught me my faith, and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life. He was born in 1918. He lost his mother at 2 years of age. He lost his father at 15. He went through the Depression. He signed up for World War II, went off to Guadalcanal, got malaria and shot at and didn't like it too much. Served his country fighting the forces of fascism. Came back, worked very hard physically, raised a family, put a roof over my head, clothed me, fed me, taught me my faith, loved me. I love him back. So I'll slug it out until my heart is black-and-blue if anyone ever tries to hurt him.

RD: You're going to have to go on record. The Holocaust happened, right?
Gibson: I have friends and parents of friends who have numbers on their arms. The guy who taught me Spanish was a Holocaust survivor. He worked in a concentration camp in France. Yes, of course. Atrocities happened. War is horrible. The Second World War killed tens of millions of people. Some of them were Jews in concentration camps. Many people lost their lives. In the Ukraine, several million starved to death between 1932 and 1933. During the last century, 20 million people died in the Soviet Union.

So then, if someone was asked about Hitler, and his views of the Jews, and someone responded...

“Hitler taught me my faith, and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life.”

That wouldn't be an endorsement of Hitler's views on the Jews? No? Really?

Mel Gibson was asked about his father, and his father's view that the Holocaust didn't happen, Mel responded....

“My dad taught me my faith, and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life.”

That isn't an endorsement of his father's view of the Holocaust? No? Really?

A little late for that!

All he had to say is “My father said/believes some things that I don't necessarily believe.”

He said the OPPOSITE of that. That his father taught him, he believes what his father taught him, and that his father never lied to him.

In context it is obvious that he is saying that his father taught him Holocaust denial, he believes his father's Holocaust denial, and he insists his father never lied to him about the Holocaust.

It isn’t his father that Hollywood started hating Gibson for, it was “The Passion of the Christ”. That interview was actually about The Passion.

I think that is what is driving our weird little friend here as well.

Mel Gibson was asked about his father, and his father's view that the Holocaust didn't happen,

Even when shown the interview itself you keep lying.

You are despicable.

You are delusional.

The question that Mel Gibson responded to ended with “ (your father) has questioned some of the accepted versions of the Holocaust. Is there anything you want to share about that?”

That seems to comport well with my characterization that he was asked about his father and his father's view that the Holocaust didn't happen.

Killing a few thousand wouldn't be a Holocaust, killing six million was. Mel Gibson's father has consistently argued that the Holocaust didn't happen as reported in history, that it was overblown, that the Germans couldn't have possibly killed that many for logistical reasons, and that most of the reported six million dead fled to other nations.
