In Christ Alone lyrics

Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save

?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

HAPPY ‘Truth Revealed’ Day.

“For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Correct...also, Luther made himself pope......

This is so lame. Imagine if you disobyed the laws of the land...didn’t pay tazes, etc...and used Luther’s argument...unless I can be convinced from the Constitution alone...I will not obey. Sounds nice but it is actually personal rebellion.

When the peasants of Northern Germany wanted the same for themselves...Luther, siding with German authorities slaughtered them en masse.

Luther = very evil man

This is one of my faves, for all time. Hopefully it will be played at my ‘funeral’ celebration.

"Luther, siding with German authorities slaughtered them en masse."

Luther began the movement away from Jesus and the Gospels that was accelerated under Calvin. Reformation meant that the Letters of Paul replaced the Gospel as the primary revelation of the new and Everlasting Covenant. One need only read Luther's writings on Jews to know he was not truly a man of God. Surely God would not have chosen such a flawed vessel to bring new meaning to Christianity.

Wonderful example of some of the good music in modern hymnody.

Thee is no such thing as a pope.. that is false doctrine

This is so lame. Imagine if you disobyed the laws of the land...didn’t pay tazes, etc...and used Luther’s argument...unless I can be convinced from the Constitution alone...I will not obey. Sounds nice but it is actually personal rebellion.

Luther wanted a hearing in the church to discuss the false doctrine that had overrun Rome.. He wanted the church returned to its biblical roots.. The Jews thought Christ was rebelling.. would you agree with them?

When the peasants of Northern Germany wanted the same for themselves...Luther, siding with German authorities slaughtered them en masse.

Citing the New Testament, Luther argued that Christians must "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" meaning that in temporal affairs God expects Christians to obey those in authority , no matter how tyrannical their rule. ... his principle is still a matter of discussion in the church today

Luther = very evil man

And Luther smiles

Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

This is your best shot?

All my statements stand...the peasants wanted to follow the dictates of their conscience just like Luther and he betrayed them. Luther also said, “sin boldly...” and was licentious, and crazy. He couldn’t get along with anyone but himself....and if you disagreed with him, you were assigned to the flames.

“Reformation” day is a joke...it is rebellion day and continues to this day.

"Can you tell me what the gospel even is?"

Unlike the Catholic belief that the Gospel is the record of the life and teachings of Jesus, it is a nearly meaningless theological footnote to the Paulywogs. Written exclusively for the Jews, the gospel requires extensive editing, reinterpretation, and redaction in order to fit the theology of the "reformation".

Amen!

Notice that the papists hurl scorn in place of Scriptural arguments supporting their superstitions.

Following "another Christ" and "other Mediators" and a "co-redeemer" only leads to frustration and remorse.

Thank God for the Reformation.

RNMOMOF7: "Can you tell me what the gospel even is?"

NATURAL LAW: Unlike the Catholic belief that the Gospel is the record of the life and teachings of Jesus...

But that is clearly not the entirety of what is meant by "the Gospel." Christ Himself referenced "the Gospel" while He was still alive. Therefore, "the Gospel" cannot be a "record of the life and teachings of Jesus" since His life and teachings had not yet been completed.

"Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel." -- Mark 1:14-15

Therefore Rome teaches an incomplete Gospel. No doubt because Rome does not recognize nor understand "the Gospel of the kingdom of God."

Christians really should know "the Gospel" if they presume themselves to be among His family. Read your Bible, Natural Law. God willing, He will show you "what the gospel even is."

Pray for eyes to see. Papist superstitions obscure the grace of God.
