In the sermon descriptively entitled, That Hearing and Keeping the Word of God Renders a Person More Blessed Than Any Other Privilege That Ever God Bestowed on Any of the Children of Men, Jonathan Edwards writes: The hearing and keeping the word of God brings the happiness of a spiritual union and communion with God. Tis a greater blessedness to have spiritual communion with God and to have a saving intercourse with him by the instances of his Spirit and by the exercise of true devotion than it is to converse with God externally, to see the visible representation and manifestations of his presence and glory, and to hear his voice with the bodily ears as Moses did. For in this spiritual intercourse the soul is nigh unto and hath more a particular portion than in any external intercourse. Tis more blessed to be spiritually related to Jesus Christto be his disciples, his brethren and the membersthan to stand in the nearest temporal relation, than to be his brother or his mother. Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus, ed. Nancy Guthrie, 57.
So, where is the scriptural proof? Simply name the verse or verses to which you were referring when in post 875 you wrote: “Jesus’ glorified body has no blood.”
I asked something very simple.
I see you have no proof of what you are adhering to. Why not? Where’s the Scripture? I guess your interest isn’t as important as you try to portray.
I’m not sure what your apparent anger is all about. All I asked for is the scriptural proof of what you said. Can you identify the verses from which you draw the assertion you made? Yes or no?
How can I respond to you if you provide nothing?
My dear pnsn, you have misunderstood what I wrote. I asked you two days ago where the basis was for your assertion that, your words, Jesus glorified body has no blood.
I saw no response, so I stated that I had asked two days ago, and thinking you perhaps hadn’t seen my request or had forgotten, would you now please provide an answer. I didn’t say anything about what I had been doing, other than waiting for a response from you. Any foot stomping on my part is entirely your inference and not my implication.
Now, you say you are off because you have other priorities. Understandable. It’s Christmas.
I’ll wait for your answer.
It is common for those of your ilk to say that I and other Catholics are spoonfed what to believe and what to say in defense of our faith and so that holds no weight with me as your remarks are as predictable as the day is long. It must be too galling to admit that I, like many here on FR, actually read and think about what we believe and why. I am a revert. I left the church(as in all religion) for 20 years and found myself wanting Christ in my life. I prayed, I read, I studied and I attended different services and I found that my heart and mind and soul is with the church, Christs church, the Catholic Church. I did not come to that lightly and again, if you believe that the Holy Spirit would allow an honest seeker of Him to be led by demons, then you are calling Jesus a liar.

“Jesus’ glorified body has no blood.”
In the Gospel of St. John are descriptions of Christ’s wounds - perhaps they are healed, but He has a real body and therefore real blood.
John 19:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.
24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
That Jesus Christ the Risen Lord has a real body and (and therefore real blood) is also testified to by St. Luke in chapter 24: “37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43And he took it, and did eat before them.”
Not only does Christ eat, He, bluntly tells them that He has a real, but glorified human body, saying: “Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”
Note, my dear neo-arian friends who may be reading this (not you, presently no screen name), this does not negate that Jesus Christ is truly God.
