Basanti's husband had died, but she still saw him from time to timeand that frightened her.
She knew it wasn't natural for her deceased husband to visit her, and she was right. An evil spirit took on her husband's form and continually tormented her. Basanti couldn't sleep at night. She searched for someone to help her get rid of the evil spirit, but no one knew how.
When some members of a Gospel for Asia-supported Women's Fellowship learned what was happening to Basanti, they went to her house to intercede. They united their hearts and prayed in one accord for the spirit to leave in Jesus' name and for Basanti to be delivered from the powers of darkness. The Lord did a miracle, and the evil spirit never came back to disturb Basanti again.
Before leaving Basanti's house, the women shared the Gospel message with her and encouraged her to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Basanti now sleeps peacefully and is grateful to Jesus for His deliverance in her life and for the peace and joy she now experiences.
I've thought about this issue some, because I had ancestors who believed in ghosts, but a person who believes that the spirit of a dead loved one can be contacted and interacted with might tend to think that heaven and hell were myths.
Ex wives have been known to do that too I’ve heard.
If this doesn’t work, non-Catholics can always go to see an exorcist, too. Some people don’t know that.
Most people don't think it through. The apparitions and ghosts are not dead humans. They are fallen angels looking to deceive. So many people get caught up in the occult because they think this stuff is harmless never thinking we are in the middle of the battlefield.
I know this is well intended, but the arrogance jumps off the screen.
For Born Again Christians we go to Jesus and the Holy Spirit acts on our behalf. The idea that a church can do better is just bad thinking.
There is major deception happening world wide as the time draws near. Jesus said it would be so...and there would be many anti-Christ's. What we so often see are false religions masqurading under the disguise of Christianity and use of it's vocabulary. In time "expereinces" with the unseen world are encouraged, sought and believed..... In doing this people leave themselves wide open for demonic influences, which usually manifest themselves as persons people are familiar with...and often as well Biblical names are used in which they identify themselves as....... It's a powerful "Hook" which then leads to desiring more of these expereinces....and once these become common place ones faith eventually rests in the expereinces themselves as they tend to become an individuals source of truth...when in fact it is a lie and a very destructive lie.
