Those guys don’t understand how much THEY (even as men) would be oppressed under Islam. When one gets only a narrow picture of something but not all the details one can be duped (as you did with your buddies, to prove a point).

I agree with everything you posted and I’m probably more outraged than most about what Islam brings...but I have a serious question...

Islam has tons of flaws, we know. But have we looked at what America does in the site of God? All the blasphemy, sexual immorality, abortion, etc etc etc...I know Christianity is not about these things but our nation is going down this road.

Allah is not God, that’s clear, but Christianity is on the decline. I guess America is a step ahead of Islam because at least most of us know God...

When the Jews turned away from God, God allowed Babylon to dominate them. Babylon wasn’t a God-fearing nation just like Islam isn’t.

Not at all. America has serious moral failings, but we recognize those failings. We have child rapists, but we prosecute them, not wrap them in the mantle of "marriage". We have one night stands, but we don't try to justify them as "pleasure marriages." We are immodest, but we don't use modesty as a justification to mutilate little girls.

We have our serious moral failings, but we don't wrap them in language of "good." We're more honest. We have multiple divorce and remarriage, but we don't try to call it good by having multiple wives. We have naked women advertising everything, but we don't treat womens' bodies as evil in the name of modesty.

So yeah, America's got issues, but we don't try to justify those issues by lying and calling them good, wrapping them in the virtues that God gave us. America's got honesty in her corner.

Do you really think we realize how far we've fallen? I mean apart from comparing ourselves to Islam which I believe is doomed, but then, so was Babylon.

I think we're all so used to it that we don't even realize how bad we are compared to purity. My son told me in the 10th grade he didn't even know any virgins. Maybe it's because I live in California but still.

We're not closer to being right just because Islam is wronger. You said we don't try to justify our issues by lying and calling them good, but, um, I think we flat out do, just not the same way as Islam.

Again, maybe it's because I'm in California.

mockingbyrd, in THIS corner, from what I see on the left coast, I think honesty is far from us. We're pretty much deluded and drowning in moral decay while we open up churches that claim the Bible has it all wrong and God said: [insert whatever is popular today.]"

I think we're in really big trouble and it's not because we were innocently sleeping.
