Your obsession is so deep it is truly sad.

I sustain the prophet because he is the Lord’s chosen. How he arranges for his chosen to be when and where he needs them isn’t something I am personally privy to.

That has nothing to do with politics.

Dude. Get a grip. Seriously.

Do not make this thread "about" individual Freepers. That is also a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

If an impersonal calendar (birthdate) determines who the next "prophet" will be, why does that prophet need either (a) your vote of sustenance; or (b) the Holy Ghost to pinpoint anybody?

It's all pre-determined that Mormon leadership operates by...
...(a) what's on a printed piece of paper -- the calendar -- as to whom becomes a "prophet" next...
...and that (b) certain people get to live with God eternally according to being in good standing with another piece of paper -- a bishop's temple recommend...
...and that (c) others at least get a "get-out-spirit prison" monopoly card because some keen Mormon researchers found some old pieces of paper -- birth and death records...
...doesn't that strike you as being driven by the same thing Nazis were? (Precise records written on pieces of paper??)

I mean, c'mon, PD, even Jesus set the holiest pieces of paper in proper perspective when He said: 39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (John 5:39)

It's a relationship, PD, which determines prophets, who lives with the Father eternally, and who avoids hell...not pieces of paper which unveil birthdates, bishops fumbling along as part of a "second fulltime job," and when people were born & died long ago!!!

Don't you see the very ritualism to which you've become attached???...Jesus said even of the papered Scriptures that their purpose is to testify to HIM!!!

Now, are you going to address my other question? Mormons ask us all the time that if God chooses to reveal His Word beyond the book of Revelation, would we embrace it? So I'm asking you, if God chooses to reveal a prophet who isn't Mormon & won't become Mormon, would you sustain him?

Are only Mormon "prophets" worthy of getting sustaining votes from Mormons? Do they have their God so boxed in that God can't choose a "prophet" beyond a Mormon identity & calendar date?

Do not make this thread “about” individual Freepers.

THAT was quick!

“I sustain the prophet because he is the Lord’s chosen.”

I would LOVE to see ANY

FACTS
EVIDENCE
LOGICAL ARGUMENT

That would confirm or support that WILD claim...

What do you have PD?
