This past June, Pope Benedict XVI said the church must promise "to do everything possible" to ensure that the sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests "will never occur again."
But the president of the Survivor Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) was not satisfied. She said, "Right now, kids are being assaulted by priests and bishops are concealing the crimes. No, bogus, it isn’t. If it was, I wouldn’t have asked.
Punchline? punch line: concluding phrase or line of joke, pun, or riddle
This is not a joke.
It seems to me that the Pope was addressing activity by priests within the church sphere, not schools. Comparing this problem to public schools is apples and oranges. Hoven is being disingenuous.
Good Catholic dodge.
I didn’t know those ‘comedians’ poked fun at it. While that is bad enough for any victim of abuse to hear, they only target the CC. No idea why anyone listens to them.
Methinks it is a lame attempt to bash the Church.

Behind every double standard lies an unconfessed single standard.
You should have read the entire article.
Where’s the joke?
I used to drive one of those
Is that you, Alex Murphy?
Am I just imagining the almost daily reports of schoolteachers abusing boys and girls? The “secular” media seems to relish these stories. How could you miss this?
