If every catholic church had a Fr corapi or a St John vianney most people would not be bored. :)

This is what the person vows in the PCA:

(All of) you being here present to make a public
profession of faith, are to assent to the following declarations and
promises, by which you enter into a solemn covenant with God
and His Church.
1. Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of
God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope save
in His sovereign mercy?
2. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God,
and Savior of sinners, and do you receive and rest upon Him
alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel?
3. Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon
the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as
becomes the followers of Christ?
4. Do you promise to support the Church in its worship and
work to the best of your ability?
5. Do you submit yourselves to the government and discipline
of the Church, and promise to study its purity and peace?

Replace their brain with a cauliflower and turn in their soul at the OPC church door.

Or get saved....

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

BTW I agree with the Gamecock that your tag line borders on blasphemy , but seeing that it is the Holy Spirit that gives understanding and makes one wise..perhaps that is about the best an unregenerate man can do

Most people that quit the Catholic Church do so mainly because of issues below the belt.

Of their priest's belt?

Only Roman Catholics choose their religion for theological reason?

Did I say anything about Roman Catholics?

This is what the person vows in the PCA:

Hi there Irish. Hoisting a Jameson's to you.

I hear that the PCA is looking to have female deacons as part of their clergy. Any truth in that?

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

Since the OPC is a church of men, and we can don the hip waders and breathing apparatus and trudge amid the sludge of the remnants of the Reformation and the ruins of the Restoration, we can trace their man-made history from the splits of the splits of the splits of the splits of those who arrogantly left the Church of Christ.

BTW I agree with the Gamecock that your tag line borders on blasphemy , but seeing that it is the Holy Spirit that gives understanding and makes one wise..perhaps that is about the best an unregenerate man can do

My pal St. Augustine came up with it and you know what? The Catholic hero of the Reformation is good enough for me.

there is no such thing as a former Catholic...once you are baptized into the true church that Jesus Himself founded, you remain a member forever...to return to practice...repent and WELCOME HOME!!!

There was some mumbling about it, but the BOCO (Book Of Church Order) doesn’t allow it. It won’t happen.

Exactly. It wasn't until I was out of the RCC - did I learn how truly off they were. To say anyone is being obedient to Jesus while 'in' the RCC, is untrue. One can't serve two masters. God's Word vs. man-made teachings

let's see now...you leave the church which wrote the scriptures, (not actually wrote them but transcribed , protected, interpreted, authenticated, etc.etc. ) to join a "church" which sprang up 1,500or so years later and then you decide that the church is "truly off"....now I get it, you had a revelation and Jesus Himself told you that He blew it when He founded the Catholic church...at last I understand

Are you aware that some people find other Christian religions to be more Christian than the Roman Catholic Church?

that, of course would be impossible.....you cannot be more Christian when you deny the church that Jesus Himself founded....remember, He said I will be with you until the end of time.....not 1,500 or so years until the protestants popped up.

no, you didn’t learn the RCC was “different” than scriptures, you “learned” it by cherry picking bible verses out of context.

It’s like a game of “gotcha”: stick up a straw man (A catholic dogma, and sometimes just a pious practice) and then find a verse against it, ignore all the early church fathers, and any verse that might support the Catholic point of view, and voila, instant “bad bad catholics”.

‘God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or any of those one billion immoral and deluded Catholics...I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’

"Incorrect - it is a religion that requires that you go to Mass every DAY. If you're not attending every day, you're doing far worse than just "skipping here and there" - you're missing church 86% of the time.

Oh, hogwash! You really ought to do some fact checking before you post such an easily verifiable falsehood. It will prevent you from looking so foolish and petty:

CCC 2042 - The first precept ("You shall attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation and rest from servile labor") requires the faithful to sanctify the day commemorating the Resurrection of the Lord as well as the principal liturgical feasts honoring the mysteries of the Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the saints; in the first place, by participating in the Eucharistic celebration, in which the Christian community is gathered, and by resting from those works and activities which could impede such a sanctification of these days.
