The ELCA has placed their opinion over God’s Word. The denomination's actions and teachings show us that they place their own authority over God’s authority. They have made themselves god and that is idolatry. Not surprisingly this isn’t the only form of idolatry happening in the ELCA.
ELCA church Ebenezer Lutheran, otherwise knows as herchurch, in San Francisco posted highlights from their Christ Sophia Mass in 2009 on youtube.
Pastor Stacy Boorn opens the service this way, “Welcome to the Christ Sophia mass, the incarnation of she who is all wisdom. . .”
At the 2:33 minute mark of the video you can view the singing of Silent Night, but notice the changing of the words, they sing “Christ Sophia is born, Christ Sophia is born.”
At the 2:46 mark you can see the congregation sing and dance to a song called “Grandmother Song.” The lyrics are, “Oh, Grandmother, I see you sitting in the East. I pray to you. I pray to you. You are sacred And you are looking at me.” This is repeated with only minor variations of the words.
At the 4:30 mark you can watch children sing to Christ Sophia, (to the tune of Angels From the Realm Of Glory) “. . . come (each?) worship, come (each?) worship, Christ Sophia sets us free.”
During Holy Communion, at the 8:26 mark you can see Pastor Stacy Boorn mouth what looks to be, “Body of Christ Sophia for you.”
This is not Jesus Christ they are worshiping. It is a different god.
The ELCA knows full well what is happening at this church. They approve it and welcome it. (see here)
Is God being honored in this?
Add another piece of evidence exposing the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
It’s only fair that ELCA-Babylon gets to have its own uniquely heretical religion, isn’t it?

The tag line is this Lutheran's cry of frustration about Bishops who refuse to exercise every aspect of their ministry, especially calling to account and enforcing discipline on wayward clergy. Some of those wayward clergy have become so infected with the spirit of postmodernism and outright hedonism that I believe Exorcism may well be the only cure.

These creatures are an outrage ... whatever beefs I may have with Martin Luther and his followers pale in comparison to this nonsense. For these creatures to call themselves Lutheran (or, for that matter, Christian at all) is a fraud and a case of false advertising.
I had never heard of this “Christ Sophia” thing - I had to look it up. After doing so - Great Scott! Are you kidding me? Blows me away that this is being allowed. ELCA leadership has gone completely ‘round the bend.

Yeah, we all know about “herchurch” in “gay”-laden San Francisco. We all know that what it practices is paganism, not Christianity.
But the REAL issue is that what passes for the ELCA “epsicopate” approves of this abomination!!!!
The ELCA episcopate is spiritually bankrupt and apostate—therefore, so is the ELCA. As I was told several years ago, God is using all the bad stuff coming down on the Lutheran church (and other protestant churches) to show us all that the Orthodox Church is the real thing.
If you are in the ELCA, start investigating Orthodoxy NOW—experientially, by participating as an enquirer in Orthodox worship. If you’re not ready to become Orthodox, at least go to one of the Lutheran alternatives, or better yet help your entire parish leave the ELCA. May God guide you all on your exodus journeys.
If you can just make up the rules as you go along this type of thing is what you get. It’s not surprising that a lesbian lead “church” has vaginocentric worship of some strange “god”.
They just add the “Christ” part in a pathetic attempt at legitimacy. But as they’ve tossed the Bible and perverted Jesus’ message, they have no more “legitimacy” than the Bhagwan.

They used to call it the Service of Milk and Honey for the Goddess Sophia. It is they way feminists/lesbians have tried to immasculate the church and put women on an equal footing. Much like some Catholics have tried to make Mary a co-redemptress.
