This is what you said in post 19:

Let’s think a moment. A well known anti-Mormon activist/propagandist posts threads/links/articles constantly that are in some way linked to Mormons. Like this one for example.

Hmmm..... if he were only concerned with the victims and justice just as myself and everyone else I personally know is, and that is his only concern, then why no threads about crimes committed by persons of other faiths and of course pointing out clearly what faith they are?

Could it be that concern for the victims and justice for the perpetrators is NOT his main focus? Hmmmmm..... Just a question to ponder.

And the concern for the victims is where?

Yep. He’s not remoreful for what he did, he’s remorseful for what happened. Like, out there, away from him.

Likely his daughters were subjected to this all their lives.

From Mormon church owned KSL:

All of the girls were 13 or younger when the incidents occurred, Shapiro said.

Consequences for these victims, however, sticks with them for the rest of their lives.

I will not be surprised if the boys come forward. These acts are not about sex they are about control and intimidation.
Prayers for the children (even though they are adults prayers still).

Accident? More like suicide attempt, IMHO.

If it was a suicide attempt, then that would also make it attempted murder given he had a passenger in his car -- his wife.

The accident was no fender-bender...As this story splashed internationally, The UK Daily Mail showed a picture of what the Browns' Porsche looked like post-accident: Father of hit Mormon family piano group accused of sex abuse by his own daughters

...the “Dessert News” is lds owned, are they also anti-mormon as it was they who wrote the article?

Well, svcw...I guess even the Mormon church-owned DesNews has become "anti-Mormon" by reporting these stories...:)

BTW...it's easy to broad brush an entire religious sect over the acts of just one individual. Hence, let's take a brief look at the iceberg of what representatives 2% of the population -- not including the fLDS --have been up just in the sexual abuse/perp category to re: headlines going back to 2010...these were just the more prominently identified mainstream Mormons...Utah itself in the 21st century has been

* Did fellow Mormons cover up officer's baby molestations?
* Ex-LDS Seminary principal gets 5-to-life for abusing student
* Brock Police Report: Removal of "Temple Garments," a Meeting With LDS Officials
* Brock pleads guilty (Woman and daughter both have sex with underage male-Phoenix)
* Heber charity founder Lon Kennard Sr. charged with years of sexual abuse
* Family apologizes after sexual abuse arrest
* Ex-BLM Manager charged with sex abuse commits suicide
* Woman who had sex with therapist sues LDS Family Services for negligence
* Fake [LDS] marriage therapist arrested for sex abuse [this is a separate abuse story involving another lds therapist than the fake Lds therapist story listed right before this one]
* Ex-BYU student pleads guilty in attack on woman he was assigned to home teach
* 2 Mormon missionaries jailed 17 years for defilement
* Board rejects Utah County doctor Max Cannon's request for reinstated license
* Teen not getting new trial in attempted rape case
* Man jailed for indecent exposure [22 yo BYU-Idaho student]
* Cheryl Maher says Kevin Garn lied about hot tub contact
* (Utah) Rep. Garn resigns following hot tub confession
* LDS Church says local leaders handled claims against Garn
* Garn pleaded guilty in 2006 to alcohol-related charge [Lds bishop DUI]

***

In case you think the above are "anomalies," take a look at how the above has contributed to certain rates in broader Utah, of which 60% are Lds.
Sexual misconduct pervasive problem among teachers (KSL.com, Oct. 25, 2009)

Quote from this KSL article: SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- State education officials say sexual misconduct by teachers is the No. 1 reason Utah educators are forced to surrender their licenses. Records shows Utah has nearly 20,000 licensed educators. Since 1992, the State Board of Education has suspended or revoked 313 teacher licenses -- 208 of them for sexual misconduct. That number excludes 10 cases still being investigated by the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission. The behaviors range from inappropriate touching and downloading pornography on a school computer to full-blown molestation...In 2005, a survey by The Associated Press ranked Utah 16th in the nation for teacher sex offenses based on disciplinary records from 2001 to 2005 in 50 states and the District of Columbia. At that time, 52.7 percent of Utah teachers who lost their licenses surrendered them for sexual misconduct -- twice the national rate, the AP found.

Sexual misconduct persistent in Utah schools (Oct. 25, 2009)
Utah's sexual assault rate outpaces U.S. average (April 6, 2010)

Utah Sexual assault realities:

* Less than a month ago, KSL reported that there's a reported rape in Utah less than 9.5 hours apart (see http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=14136899)-- that's up just from 2008 when it was just under a rape per 10 hours...http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/documents/CIU%202008%20book%200810.pdf, p. 6

* Per the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (see also Utah Department of Health), the 2008 Utah rape rate was 63.7 per 100,000 females vs. U.S. average of 57.4. For entire crime report, see: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/documents/CIU%202008%20book%200810.pdf

* BTW, 2008 wasn't some “new surge”: Since 1991, Utah’s rape rate has consistently inched higher than the national rate. By 2002, Utah ranked 14th in the nation for rapes. [Source url: http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,600125585,00.html] -- and inched to 13th by 2004...http://www.utahfoundation.org/reports/?page_id=290)

* Why has Utah as of the years since 2000, consistently has ranked between 13 & 18 re: rape rate?

* Why as of 4 years ago, was Utah #8 in the nation for its sex offender rate per Nation Master.com?

Of course, we could take the approach that...
...Surely 60% of the population that is "nice and friendly" would actually ensure that 40% of the population would not place them in the upper rankings for rape & sex abuse, right?...
...And therefore NONE of this has anything to do with any specific Utah environmental factors, right?...
...Hence, let's just sweep this all under the image rug, shall we?...
...After all, it doesn't make for good religious PR or marketing, does it?...

The Bishop is not a paid professional so the confession laws do not apply to him

Given that these perverted sexual acts have nothing to do with sex but instead control and humiliation I am not surprised by the statistics.

Well, I'm not, either, especially given Time Magazine's piece last month: Why Your State Sucks: The Great American Map of Fail

Time listed what made each state notorious in some category. What did it say about Utah?

"Mormon Utah is first in porn watching"

Sexploitation in real life may follow sexploitation for voyeur profit.

Btw, I had a line cut off in my last post...to finish it:
Utah itself in the 21st century has been...notorious for porn-watching, rape, sex offender rates, school-based sex abuse, etc...but because of its "family-friendly" marketing job undergirded by millions of $, that 'notoriousness' tends to get 'de-media-ized'

Still no concern for the victims, lots of blather about other stuff no statement of concern.
Really go back to your blog, you have more complete statements there.

I have no blog. Perhaps you should take some remedial reading classes though. You keep repeating the same nonsense (Still no concern for the victims) when it’s right in front of your face.

I guess it’s not a joke. Willing blindness to support your obsessed agenda?

Would a priest reveal a confession?

Good question. (I'm sure the answer has been "yes," "no," and "not right away" -- all three -- depending upon the priest and other circumstances...including the at-risk nature of continuing victimization)

We know that for decades now Lds have made a huge deal about the fact that their bishop are simply unpaid lay people -- not clergy...not even full-timers!

I noted, too, on the other case linked in my initial post, that one Mormon commented on a comment Web site: If I am not mistaken, I believe the instructions to the Bishops and Stake Presidents of the Church are to notify authorities. The greater good of protecting the innocent children, (and of course the good name of the Church) trump the sanctity of the confessional in these circumstances.

Seriously, that's the concern? Sorry PD that is not concern for the victims that is a generalized statement which means nothing but generalizations. As far as the blog, strange, same name, same sorts of comments, links to FreeRepublic and lds sites.........oh well. Must just be a stranger than truth coincidence.

In my world such concerns are obvious and expected. Sorry yours is not. But again (and again) this is merely misdirection on your part.

As far as this blog I supposedly have, please do tell. I would love to visit it and it’s quite flattering if the owner is using my FR name.
