The National Organization for Women issued a statement from president Terry O'Neill Wednesday with a clearly anti-religion message. The headline: "U.S. Catholic Bishops Major Force Behind War on Women." It began:
The collusion of House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has led to an open declaration of war on the women of this country. The bishops have long sought to enshrine into law those policies of the Catholic Church that subordinate women. And they don't care how badly women get hurt in the process.NOW naturally hated any bill that restricted their sacrament of abortion. They're actively lobbying for the right to snuff out the unborn, but somehow their opponents are the violent ones. They really punched low on the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 3), which actually retains taxpayer funding of abortions for the exceptions of rape, incest, and the life of the mother:
In the last election, the bishops helped to elect legislators that would do their bidding, which includes enacting dangerous and discriminatory bills denying women safe, accessible and affordable abortion care and family planning, even encouraging hospitals to let women die in the name of 'life.'
HR 3, also known as 'Stupak on Steroids,' would enshrine the Hyde Amendment into law and expand it to impose tax penalties on millions of families and businesses whose private insurance covers abortion care, thereby expanding the scope of Internal Revenue Service audits to the area between women's legs. In testifying in favor of this bill in committee, a representative from the Catholic bishops proudly supported revoking abortion rights even in cases of rape. You read that right -- and isn't that rich, coming from the very men who have consistently protected sexually abusive priests? The O'Neill statement closed with more Bishops Kill Women rhetoric:
Not only are these assaults on women's rights at odds with generally accepted medical practice and flatly unethical, there is little doubt that they will kill women. [Emphasis theirs.]The National Organization for Women is fighting back against these efforts in coalition with our allies and women's health advocates across the country. We also renew our demand that the federal government require the all-male and violently anti-woman U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops follow the same lobbying and disclosure requirements that currently apply to everyone else.
Would our media accept conservatives calling an Islamic group "violently anti-woman," or would they think that was a vicious stereotype? Why do the media fail to notice the hostility that feminists have toward America's largest church?

Catholic ping!
Not sure how opposing the slaughter of the unborn makes one “violent,” much less “anti-woman.” These harpies make it sound like abortion is a natural, fundamental part of being a woman.
This is SUCH a crock! Women and men in RCIA have commented to me about the profound respect for women in the Church.
True, we don’t think of their bodies as alleys down which strangers may wander or of their wombs as garbage cans which need to be emptied now and then. In that we fall short of the rest of the world.
What about all of those aborted girls?
If the Nags want it so bad why can’t they start a chairty arm to support planned parenthood?
Because libs are such cheapskates they don’t give to charity so they have to resort to stealing fromt he public in the form of taxes.
When I hear these harpies shrilling as vehemently against the REAL subjugation of women by islam instead of the imagined slights given by Catholicism, I’ll give them a little more credibility. Until then, every word out of their noise holes says “Marxist at work. Pay no mind.”
Oh, my...
NOW has advocated killing a nearly infinite number of future young ladies in their “sacrament of abortion”
Chutzpah.
Exactly.
[ When I hear these harpies shrilling as vehemently against the REAL subjugation of women by islam instead of the imagined slights given by Catholicism, Ill give them a little more credibility. Until then, every word out of their noise holes says Marxist at work. Pay no mind. ]
Catholics don’t seprate yout head from your shoulders on ther slightest provacation.
Also imagine this scenario:
The technology gets developed that allows a baby in any fetal stage of development to be transplanted into a “incubator” where it can be matured to the same level as a full term baby.
The catholics and other religions who are against abortion band together to fund and open clinics to do this for women who don’t want to carry full term.
Question: How angry will Planned Parenthood be when their “business is cut into” and that we still havwe the moral high ground because our pregnancy termination service doesn’t result in death like theirs?
Hey NOW, there are some Mullahs I would just LOVE to hear your opinion on.
Well, if NOW, which is guided by the evil one in my opinion is attacking the Catholic Church, that is a good thing as “the evil one” knows which Church is his eternal enemy and I would rather that bunch yelling and attacking the Catholic Church than praising us as sometimes who your enemies are tells you if you are properly teaching orthodox Apostolic Doctrine are acting in a manner to “not rock the boat” so to speak.
In summmary, NOW yelling at the Catholic Church makes me as a Catholic smile.
Ahh NOW is yammering cause the Catholic Bishops won’t lock step to their drums. Is the sun just a little brighter?
Just out of curiosity does this organzation ever go after the pro-sharia law people. I never look for it. It’s not my number one topic to read. Anyone know. Any official statements.
“True, we dont think of their bodies as alleys down which strangers may wander or of their wombs as garbage cans which need to be emptied now and then. In that we fall short of the rest of the world.”
What an excellent way of looking at it! It’s good to be short. :0)
Amen! :)
These NOW hags are just plain evil.
