Now, this is a thread that easily could carry either a Catholic or Catholic/Orthodox caucus label and be on absolutely solid ground.
It could even carry a devotional label.
I would encourage you to suggest that to the mod.

Nice idea. Shouldn’t really be necessary, though.

Really? It is simply a direct quote from Holy Writ.
Now I might argue that Holy Writ is a gift from God given to us through the Holy Catholic Church that He founded, but as such, it also belongs to all of mankind. It is a gift. It is meant to bring us together in the unity of the Holy Family - as adopted Children of God.
If the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Most Holy Mother of God can say these words with humility, can’t we all join with her?

I am not, nor will I be party to anything that hurts, God being my helper.
Scripture is too sacred, the Lord is too Holy, His Mother is too precious, and the unity of Christians is too important.
All any of us can do is speak what is on the heart. After we have delivered the message that burdens, it is in the Lord’s hands.

I know. Thank you for your constancy, civility and testimony. You are a shining light in a sometimes difficult place here on the ‘net. May Our Lord guide you and guard you and Grant to you His Grace, now and always.

May God give eyes to see the idolatry inherent in these prayers to a simple Jewish girl and not to the Triune God of all creation, to whom all prayers, glory, veneration and worship belong.
"Flee from idolatry."

What “idolatry” is involved when Holy Writ is quoted, “Doctor”? You do recognize the Word of God, no?
