But (and I only say this because I’ve been in churches who preached otherwise) once you are saved, you are always saved. Going back to get saved again means you were either lying the first time, or you’re lying this time.
The Reformed faith puts Christ at the center. There is no moving on to the more important things. Christ is the most important thing.
We hold to perseverance of the Saints, but as sinners, we need to be constantly reminded of the source of our right standing. Without that constant reminder, our affections will wander.

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.But it is not just salvation... it is reaffermation of hope, renewal in love, the realization anew what Jesus has done for you. Sometimes we just need a refresher. To hear the gospel after salvation is the same as reading scripture a second time, a third time... etc. It is still the same good news, but it changes YOU each time you hear it.
