Angels

[The next night] I saw my Guardian Angel, who ordered me to follow him. In a moment I was in a misty place full of fire in which there was a great crowd of suffering souls. They were praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid. The flames which were burning them did not touch me at all. My Guardian Angel did not leave me for an instant. I asked these souls what their greatest suffering was. They answered me in one voice that their greatest torment was longing for God. (20)
Jesus, when I cannot sing You the hymn of love, I admire the singing of the Seraphim, they who are so dearly loved by You. I desire to drown myself in You as they do. (195)

When I went to the garden one afternoon, my Guardian Angel said to me, "Pray for the dying." And so I began at once to pray the rosary with the gardeners for the dying. (314)
As the sisters were making their vows, I heard angels singing in various tones, "Holy, Holy, Holy," with chanting so delightful that no human tongue could ever match it. (1111)

[I] asked Him to arrange it that no evil person would dare come to the gate (of the convent). Then I heard these words: My daughter, the moment you went to the gate I set a Cherub over it to guard it. Be at peace. After returning from my conversation with the Lord [in the Chapel] I saw a little white cloud and, in it, a Cherub with his hands joined. His gaze was like lightning, and I understood how the fire of God's love burns in that look.. (1271)

As I was meditating on the sin of the Angels and their immediate punishment, I asked Jesus why the Angels had been punished as soon as they had sinned. I heard a voice: Because of their profound knowledge of God. No person on earth, even though a great saint, has such knowledge of God as an Angel has. (1332)

When I entered the chapel for a moment, the Lord said to me, My daughter, help Me to save a certain dying sinner. Say the chaplet that I have taught you for him. When I began to say the chaplet, I saw the man dying in the midst of terrible torment and struggle. His Guardian Angel was defending him, but he was, as it were, powerless against the enormity of the soul's misery. A multitude of devils was waiting for the soul. But while I was saying the chaplet, I saw Jesus just as He is depicted in the image. The rays which issued from Jesus' Heart enveloped the sick man, and the powers of darkness fled in panic. The sick man peacefully breathed his last. When I came to myself, I understood how very important the chaplet was for the dying. It appeases the anger of God. (1565)

When during adoration, I repeated the prayer, "Holy God" several times, a vivid presence of God suddenly swept over me, and I was caught up in spirit before the majesty of God. I saw how the Angels and the Saints of the Lord give glory to God. The glory of God is so great that I dare not try to describe it, because I would not be able to do so, and souls might think that what I have written is all there is. Saint Paul, I understand now why you did not want to describe heaven, but only said that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love him...Now I have seen the way in which I adore God; oh how miserable it is! And what a tiny drop it is in comparison to that perfect heavenly glory. (1604)

Once, when a certain doubt rose within me shortly before Holy Communion, the Seraph with the Lord Jesus stood before me again. I asked the Lord Jesus, and not receiving an answer, I said to the Seraph, "Could you perhaps hear my confession?" And he answered me, "No spirit in heaven has that power." And at that moment, the Sacred Host rested on my lips. (1677)

Bless you for this!!! Just beautiful!! I can’t wait to delve into the Diary but I made a commitment to finish Johnette Benkovic’s “Full of Grace” study first. I highly recommend it!

Keep ‘em coming! I love it!

As part of my fasting & increased prayer for Lent, I am also denying myself the pleasure of coffee (believe me, this is a sacrifice for me!!). I went to Adoration after Mass this morning. Father was brewing a pot for his morning bible study group. I could smell it all the way in the chapel for the two hrs I was there. God indeed has a sense of humor; I just smiled because it was like our inside joke.

Hi Salvation- I thank you for this post! My Mother and Aunt were devoted to the Divine Mercy Prayer and Tracts. My aunt would never be without a Divine Mercy tract. If you went with her she would give it out at the grocery store or restaurant. A true witness.

Before my mother died she looked at me and told me in the future I would pray the Rosary( I would only say it with her or mother Angelica) and Divine Mercy with special anointing from the Lord. She died in 1999 a few months before my aunt.

Well I have been praying the Divine Mercy since 2004 I forgot what my mom said until two years(Maybe just shy) after I did it daily. This is the most powerful prayer I have ever said. I have experienced numerous supernatural happenings I can not even begin to tell too much typing. I have had at least 4 vision dreams( 3 personal and one national dream). 2 became true about people I know who died. I believe God has shown me who ever we pray for will die in Christ. One was so true to the same TV news Broadcast that I saw in the vision dream 6 months which was about my friends daughter. Which she died. A drive by shooting. The exact anchor, the town it happened in, the channel 12 news channel in NY.

ALSO!!!

"When I went to the garden one afternoon, my Guardian Angel said to me, "Pray for the dying." And so I began at once to pray the rosary with the gardeners for the dying. (314)

As the sisters were making their vows, I heard angels singing in various tones, "Holy, Holy, Holy," with chanting so delightful that no human tongue could ever match it. (1111)

THIS happened to me after praying the Divine Mercy one night 3 years ago. I heard a low soft singing Hallejuhahs and HOLY,HOLY,HOLY like coming from a radio but looked around the whole house to find this radio (I thought was on). There was no more sound in any other room execept my bedroom. When I went back I heard it but could not find a natural source. I sat on my bed when it grew from a low sound to a very loud beautiful singing of thousands? of chorus for a few ( maybe six seconds) all around me then stopped. I had the perfect peace within my soul I could not get up right away. Just so sweet so peacefully in awe of God. Who I think has a wonderful sense of humour because I always say to people who do not believe "Just keep seeking and you will find". Well boy did I seek where that sound was from in the house. I found it!!!!

Praise Jesus And Hail Mary!!!!! AMEN!!! AMEN!!

I gave up Beer; and I’m Irish..........and on the Freeway, I’m surrounded by Miller Lite trucks; I pass a half-dozen bars on the way home including an Irish Pub. My worst suspicions have been confirmed......our former Pastor,(we moved) was Italian; he used to joke that the Irish weren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer..........today is day 39. (I wonder if he gave up Pasta!)

Matthew 6:17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

So this is how we fast totally. I think Christ was more talking about a reaction to an absolute wrong way of fasting or not fasting. Or true motive. Not something set in stone.

NOTE THIS IN THE VERSES:

Matthew 6:16 “When you fast, do not Look gloomy LIKE the hypocrites. They neglect their appearance, so that They May APPEAR to others to be fasting."

This verse is before Matthew 6:17 " But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

This is the way you fast? How often is this? Perhaps you would like to share. Since you are pointing out that the Lenten fast is so wrong. You want to share as a christian. In all honesty we can learn from each other.

I though this was read at Mass yesterday; or so I've been told. BTW, mind reading is verbotten on the FR. Doing so puts this ecumenical thread at risk of becoming a flamewar.

***This is the way you fast? How often is this?***

Sorry, but if I choose to fast, or don’t, it between me and God.

Dear Sir- It was really questions to learn from each other. It is ecumenical I believe to share ideas. There was just a reply post of verse. We are allowed to ask? If not I did not know that under ecumencial guidelines. I apologize if so I will read this guideline if I can find it. Thanks.
