As some of you know, we've both been having some health issues. My leg is frequently infected from diabetic wounds on my feet. I can't afford to lose my leg because there's no one else who can help my wife who had a stroke last year. Now my ancient car's brakes are giving out, which will make it almost impossible for us to get to the doctor, pharmacy, hospital and store. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes and don't forget JimRob as well. Thanks in advance.

Any freeper males live near you to fix that car for you?? What a great thought. Our veteran has trouble with his leg and sure he would appreciate that help. He lives in Biloxi, MS.
Thank you to all for your prayers and to those who are sending contributions for the repairs. We would be extra blessed if someone could assist with the actual repair work. If anyone near Biloxi can, please send 2ndDivVet a private email.
You're all wonderful.

I’ve had a diabetic ulcer on my ankle for 10 years. Hasn’t responded to anything the doctors have tried. Last week they applied a MediHoney dressing on the wound and it appears to be improving. Too early to tell if it’s finally going to heal, but there are signs that new tissue is starting to form in the bottom of the wound. We’re praying it works.

in my prayers.
The best “treatment” for diabetic wounds is meticulous wound care...many different way to do it, but local treatment helps...and have them check for hidden fungus infection. We found that some of our patients wouldn’t heal until we treated them for fungus that took over after we treated them with antibiotics.

I wonder what’s up with such a big price difference. The first mechanic I called here specializes in German cars and he quoted me a price of $195 just for the part!!

I wonder whats up with such a big price difference. The first mechanic I called here specializes in German cars and he quoted me a price of $195 just for the part!!The $50 and $70 dollar master cylinder at Advanced Auto are remanufactured. The $144 master cylinder said it was brand new,
I would make certain to check with CarQuest about their prices and availability. unfortunately, you actually have to call, or visit CarQuest because they don't have an online catalog.
While you are at it, check NAPA. NAPA doesn't have an online catalog either.

Thanks!!Glad to be of some help.
Remember to not remove the existing master cylinder until you have what you are told is a replacement in your hand and can verify the new one is functionally identical to the one you are replacing.
Only after bench bleeding the new MS, installing it, bleeding the brakes, filling fresh brake fluid and verifying the new master cylinder worked would I turn the old one in for its core refund.
I say this because I helped a friend overhaul an older model Mitsubishi and just about every part we ordered turned out to be the wrong part. I'm not sure if it was because of the cars age, limited production, or both.
Let me know if you need it and I can email pages from a repair manual for your car along with images.
