They are called the ( DOOM AND GLOOM ) condemnational preachers of the letter that was written on stone.
They are the ministers of doom and death.



For the ministry of the Spirit ( God's New Covenant of Grace by and through the Holy Spirit ) gives life and make's one righteous, right standing with GOD.


2 Corinthians 3:9

9. For if the service that condemns [the ministration of doom] had glory, how infinitely more abounding in splendor and glory must be the service that makes righteous [the ministry that produces and fosters righteous living and right standing with God]!

" A preacher can beat his flock over the head with what they should do under the law, and for a season many in that church will follow said law, but will drift away."

That's why they call it a pulpit, either by preaching the Grace of God in the Gospel of Jesus Christ can they pull those out of the pit, or by preaching condemnation ? they pull them back into the pit.

God commands the Shepherds to feed and care for the flock, not beat or fleece the flock.

He reminds the readers that they are ( already ( past tense ) made Holy, set apart because of what Christ did. ).

NO MAN was ever able to make himself " Holy " or acceptable in the sight of GOD by this own abilities, there was always a blood sacrifice, a atonement for covering for sin until the anointed one would come.
For GOD and Abraham made a blood covenant.
Abraham had right standing with GOD because he knew and trusted that the Messiah's atonement was coming by God's promise and Abraham ( in a temporary sense until Christ's Sacrifice was finished ) had right standing because he had faith in GOD, because he believed GOD and trusted GOD.
He obeyed GOD because God's hand was already on his life.

BINGO !!! and not only does it draw into ourselves, but, it glorifies man when the law is in the wrong hands ( it's GOD's law, not man, for man had taken the law into his own hands ).

The law is HOLY for the one who gave it IS HOLY.

The law's purpose was to show how HOLY, Righteous, pure GOD really is, and how sinful we are.
The law is to produce Godly sorrow and to show us who we really are on the inside.
But, God did not stop just at the law, GOD wants to restore what was broken.
God sent us the very one who could, or was able to fulfill every aspect of the law.... Jesus Christ, for he fulfilled it on our behalf, in our stead.
The law shows us how sinful and wretched we are, and GOD's anointed one ( Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah ) was to show us GOD's GRACE ! AND HIS GLORY !

God's law, is God's law, not man's law, for when Man takes God's law into his own hands, man in his pride glorifies himself and not GOD.
God's Grace ( Jesus Christ ) Glorifies no man, GOD get's all the Glory in Jesus Christ alone.

OH, yes...

Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ.
My ego is no longer central.
It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God.
Christ lives in me.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Rom. 5:1.

PEACE WITH GOD. We are not at odds any longer. We are reconciled. And it's not we WILL have peace. Or if we are good enough, work hard enough, etc., we will one day have peace with God. We have it at the moment of salvation. We are reconciled to God by the blood of Christ, and we have peace. No more "did I do enough yesterday?", or "am I doing enough today?", or "will I be able to do enough tomorrow?". The enmity is over. We are declared justified, sanctified, and are sealed with the Holy Spirit. WHAT PEACE that is!
