The Bride of Christ is not an institution called The Catholic Church. The Bride exists on a spiritual plane and it is apparent that your social institution cannot even imagine that spiritual level since you believe a priest can absolve someone of sin ... on his own recognizance, ultimately, since your ‘church’ teaches that even an active homosexual priest can do this ‘work’ of forgiving that which ONLY GOD HAS DOMINION OVER.

I'll mention that to the Bishop at the next Ecumenical ministries meeting later this month...

BTW, if the Holy SPirit ever comes into residence in your spirit, you will immediately see the absurdity of your assertion regarding ‘do anything that felt good, rape, molestation, robbery, whatever, and just assume that Christ had atoned for all our misdeeds’. That is BTW one of satan’s most inveigling arguments to those whom he desperately does not want to awaken to their own sinfulness and Jesus as the ONLY solution to same.

As the protestants came along, some 1,500 years later, they decided to revise what the original church taught.

I thought the Protestants were PROTESTing what the 'original church' had become.

I seem to remember 95 or so theses being nailed to a door somewhere.

If we had no responsibility whatsoever, we could do anything that felt good, rape, molestation, robbery, whatever, and just assume that Christ had atoned for all our misdeeds....that's not the way it works

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

My husband's cousin is a nun, just celebrated her Jubilee, she does not in any way have those sentiment's.

ask her how a complete christian does not belong to the christian church that Christ founded....no eucharist, no purgatory, ok with abortion, ok with divorce and remarriage etc. etc. etc.

Huh? Who’s ok with:no eucharist, no purgatory, ok with abortion, ok with divorce and remarriage etc. etc. etc.
She is perfectly ok with communion.
What Christians are you talking about who are ok with abortion, divorce/remarriage?
We have never discussed purgatory.

you originally stated that the Nun didn't agree with my statement that to be a complete Christian, one had to be Catholic....I merely pointed out some of the things that an incomplete Christian, non Catholic, goes without. Non Catholics don't share in the true eucharist, they have no sacrament of reconciliation, they assume that it is O.K. to divorce and remarry, most of the women seeking abortion are non-Catholic Christians, they don't believe in purgatory......all those things make them incomplete Christians

Can I get some clarity on when it is and is not OK to compare somebody who disagrees with you to a Nazi here on FR?

Read for content.

The comparison was not made about the poster, but to the Mormon cult propaganda they cite. That constant refusal to answer direct questions and instead post the same tired old and debunked links to self-serving LDS bilge is showing a mastery of theory of The Big Lie.

Dr. Goebbels was the past master of putting said theory into action. The fact that he was also a Nazi is merely incidental.

And just how is that not a comment against the poster?

Not against the poster, against the poster’s tactics.

so was the word simular and as you say

“The fact that he was also a Nazi is merely incidental.”

Is this a good example to double standards!

"I have been reading a little of Martin Luther.

I'm glad to hear you are reading some of Luther. He had a lot to say that is worth reading because it is Biblical. Best, ampu

I'm not sure I can agree with every thing Luther has to say.

Not to say he doesn't not have some good thoughts.

Blue,
I wouldn’t say I agree with everything Luther says either. We’ve found something we can agree on :-)

best,

Your comment was that the action of the poster ‘would make Herr Doktor Joe proud’ that isn’t about the content of what was posted, that was about the poster posting something you didn’t agree with. I don’t blame you for trying to soft peddle it now, but wouldn’t it be more honest to just admit you went too far? Unless that kind of stuff is OK here at FR, like I said, I could use some clarification on the rules.

Don’t compare Freepers or the Forum to Nazis.
