Thanks for the clarification. Seems to me that post 3 violates that then but it’s your call to make.
Many of my relatives attend the Central Lutheran Church here.
I have attended some services
Mostly funerals.
I go there every New Years with my Alaskan Native friends from the Sobriety Movement.
Have had many chats with the minster there. A relative of may wife.
They they sign a Sobriety Pledge for the New Year and I support them in that. How ever Graig told me once he would not insult my by giving me a pledge.
I was at a funeral once for a funeral for one of my wife's relatives and was asked to leave the Prayer Circle.
Fine I went out and set in the hallway. It's OK if someone is uncomfortable with me being there. The minister's wife came out and said that should have never happened and the family would like me in the Prayer Circle.
I did notice that the person that was offended that a "CULT" member was there was invited to come back when she was sober.
It would be improper to attend if it's going to disturb the service.
Pastor Joe always acts friendly and has said I'm welcome to visit any time. He understands my religion. I don't discuss my religion with him except to support the Sobriety Movement.
My wife's dance group sponsor's the Sobriety Movement here.
Dont compare Freepers or the Forum to Nazis.

Oh really will this is from a distant relative of mine...
By 1941, Hitlers Nazi regime had seized unbelievable control over the German people, dictating what they read, what they said-even what they believed. A whispered criticism of the Nazi Party could lead to a Gestapo interrogation and prison. In this environment, a young man, sixteen years old, took action that some considered foolhardy, and others viewed as treacherous and morally wrong. What he did was certainly dangerous. Today many consider his actions heroic. This is the story of Helmuth Hubener.
Helmuth Hubener led a resistance group composed of himself and two of his childhood friends from his LDS Church branch. The three of them carefully distributed flyers throughout Hamburg that denounced Hitler and his propaganda machine. This documentary chronicles what happened to these young men, and the ultimate price paid by those who dared to stand up for the truth.
Using archival footage and still photography as well as new film footage shot on location in Germany, this film takes an unprecedented in-depth look at a compelling and complex story. Included is an extensive interview with the last remaining survivor of the resistance group.
DVD includes exclusive interviews and other material not found in the broadcast or VHS versions.

By comparing Mormons to Nazi does not exclude those Freepers who are also Mormons...
RM when statements like this is made...
"Dont compare Freepers or the Forum to Nazis."
Is not someone trying to wee wee on my leg?
First they came for the Communists,
and I didnt speak up,
because I wasnt a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didnt speak up,
because I wasnt a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didnt speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

restornu's complaint is that the post compared Mormons (and therefore Freepers who are Mormon) to Nazis.
From post #3:
Nevertheless, it is pushing the envelope too far so don't do it anymore, Emperor Palpatine.
Everyone is well advised to remember Godwin's Law, basically that on the internet, raising Hitler or Nazis in an argument is a sign of desperation. The poster has run out of rational arguments. Declare yourself the winner under Godwin's law and walk away.
Bill Clinton and the Meaning of "Is"
"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."
somehow along the way the meaning of simular got lost!
BTW ones demeanor in how they treat others should be the focus not labeling those who you dislike, but when used to describe how one treats or behaves towards those they try to scorch earth!
EP use was a back handed smear to those whom the antis have contempt towards.
PD was trying to show just how similar tactic were being applied and used to scorch earth a group such as the LDS!
and how is that recognized...
The duck test is a humorous term for a form of inductive reasoning. This is its usual expression:
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
The test implies that a person can identify an unknown subject by observing that subject's habitual characteristics. It is sometimes used to counter abstruse arguments that something is not what it appears to be.
and to think I could not even spell flag when I first started to practice on FR
That was my first post which no longer exist there is one thing I have to be thankful for here to struggle through all the humiliation over the years to learn how to complete a thought.
God bless those who were so kind and patience with me in spite of those hard hearted souls!

Thank you for wading through all the human emotion and laying down rules that are reasonable and well thought through.
I especially agree with this statement:
"Everyone is well advised to remember Godwin's Law, basically that on the internet, raising Hitler or Nazis in an argument is a sign of desperation. The poster has run out of rational arguments. Declare yourself the winner under Godwin's law and walk away."
I find you to be even-handed, reasonable and amazingly patient.
Best,
ampu
Thank you.
...something is not what it appears to be.
“We must give reason a vacation and enter a different school. We must refrain from consulting reason. We must bid reason hold its peace; we must order it to be dead. We must gouge out its eyes and pluck its feathers...,” “You must kill the other thoughts and the ways of reason or of the flesh, for God detests them.”
“Everyone is well advised to remember Godwin’s Law, basically that on the internet, raising Hitler or Nazis in an argument is a sign of desperation. The poster has run out of rational arguments. Declare yourself the winner under Godwin’s law and walk away.”

Unless one is on the receiving end of such cloak behavior!
Perhaps that would be an opportunity to trust mormon gods with the situation?
Tell that to the Christians who were sent tothe concentration camps.
