I came close to crying over the dead tree that hurricane Ike
pushed over onto my boat and my barn. I was sad about that.

Otherwise not so much.

There’s lots of things you can meet in the woods that would *really* give these folks something to cry about...

If you know of any trees with a nice grained wood, over 48” DBH, me and my Stihl MS 880 would like to know.

They should see the devastation on the western slope of Colorado caused by the Sierra club. 110,000 acres of trees blew down and the Sierra club sued the forest service to stop all efforts with the trees. Pine Beetles were picked up on radar leaving the area. Cry for you own mistake wackos.

So these morons are sitting on the grasses killing it with their walking, kneeling and squirming around. But I am sure its ok, they'll just go home and write in their journals about how cool they were today (using pencils wood and paper - wood.)

“Bring me to this rock, that has the most incredible life...”

At first I laughed out loud. Really loud, out loud.

But then it hit me how deeply, totally and truly stupid these people are and the revelation leaves me... speechless...

I once mourned the loss of a tree that had the most beautiful colors in Autumn (it was removed to enlarge a parking lot) and I hope those trees down in Auburn that some crackpot poisoned don’t die but other than this, trees are a renewable source.

The doctrine of environmentalism which is:
1) the continuation of economic progress is both impossible and dangerous
2) the intrinsic value of nature
3) the perverted concept of economic efficiency which states that the use of as little man-made energy as possible is good

leads to the specticle of this pathological, hysterical, self-indulgent wallowing in emotion.

Treebeard: [after seeing the torn-down forest] Saruman! A wizard should know better!
[loud yell]
Treebeard: There is no curse in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of men for this treachery.
Pippin: Look, the trees! They’re moving!
Merry: Where are they going?
Treebeard: They have business with the axe-men. My business is with corporate America tonight, with rock and stone, killers of trees.
[Ents emerge from the woods, following Treebeard]
Treebeard: Hroom, hm, come, my friends. The Ents are going to war. It is likely that we go to our doom. The last march of the Ents.

Treebeard: (Long pause) On second thought, let’s not be hasty. Those guys were all softwood conifers & slackers just looking for a place to fall.
I got wood—Let’s find the Ent-wives instead! Hrooom.

When Chaka leans back and cries, the sound of Big Alice from Land of the Lost would be good, or perhaps some dubbed over flatus?
They look incredibly ridiculous already, so sound modification would be all that is needed.

Could you do it? lol

I’ve got a few programs (Acoustica for audio I think) and Windows Movie Maker... not sure how good they are or how easy it is to overdub.

You can still crappie fish from the bank.
Hope insurance covered the boat and the barn.
I didnt know you had a boat.

I should have suspected there was something stashed in the barn.

I fish from the bank most of the time.

Lots of striper action this time of year behind the dams when they let the water out.

Crappie are good from the bank, Bass love weed banks, Catfish are great in channels and on rocky points

The old 070 still ran, but when a good deal on the 880 came by, I got it.

If I could figure how to post pictures, I post the 070 cutting a Caribbean Walnut (Lysiloma bahamense) crotch section in the Everglades.

With a 52” Granburg mill, I still had to build a leveled form to cut down one side and across the base, then up to the end of the other side of the tree. Think a ‘Y’ with 30 inch uppers and a 60 inch crotch section.

Lysiloma is harder than oak, but the saw and the carbide flame coated chain went right on through.

I tell myuself I got both to harvest fruit trees - you know, the ones with the fruits and nuts still in the tree.

;-)

Remember a few years back when a boatload of global-warmist-crying-about-no-more-ice-in-the-arctic got stranded in icepack and had to be rescued?

I joined many here in FR bemoaning the fact that none of them were eaten by polar bears. That would have been so PERFECT!
