>> “So, Jesus DOES indicate when it is a metaphor and when it isn’t” <<

.
This is true throughout God’s word. - Metaphor is always announced in some way.

Uri'el-2012/XeniaST:

If you are going to try to quote something,
quote it correctly: it was never XeniaST
It has always been XeniaSt.

It refers to a street name in Denver.

A church or Ekklesia is not a corporation nor a kingdom
it is always those chosen by the Father
and saved by Yah'shua's sacrifice as the Lamb of G-d.

A Pontiff is a Babylonian priest,
a title given to the Roman Emperors,
The role of Pontiffs were to lead people
across the river styx to hades via a bridge.

Have a wonderful journey following men.

Psa 105:3 Glory in His holy name;
Let the heart of those who seek YHvH be glad.

Psa 105:4 Seek YHvH and His strength;
Seek His face continually.

Your post 112 If God intended for the Passover to be named Easter, he would have used the biblical term for it. But he didn’t now did he. is hilarious -- the English language itself didn't reach "Modern English" until 1600 years AFTER Christ and even Modern English is shakespearen English, which many Anglophones can't understand.

I'm not sure where you created this quote,
claiming it was mine.

Easter by any name is Pagan it is not of G-d.

Yah'shua rose on the YHvH commanded Feast of First Fruits.

The fables are what you spin, XeniaST

If you wish to believe that Christianity is false, that's your own fable to believe in.

Again you use falsehoods ==> XeniaSt never XeniaST

I have given my life to the Jewish Messiah.

I do not follow the ROMAN "church"
created by the Roman pontiff Constantine.

To: one Lord one faith one baptism; Titus Quinctius Cincinnatus

“so when Paul says in 1 Cor 10:16, “and is not the bread we break a participation in the Body of Christ”, Catholics believe him. what do you do?”

So why did he call it bread?

And what was the subject of 1 Cor 10?

If I recall you used to post some nonsense about Easter being intentionally established so that it would NEVER occur on the same date as the Passover until someone pointed out to you that it did exactly that last year.

If you chose to look beneath the veneer,
you would know the the Roman "church"
created an algorithm to purposefully
prevent the the simultaneous occurrence.

However the leap year formula for lack of leap year
for years divisible by 400 has caused the simultaneous
celebration of Pesach and easter despite the pagan machinations.

They have occurred together each year since the year 2000.

YHvH is sending the Roman "church" a message.

If you truly believe that Jesus was speaking literally about being the “Bread of Life” - when exactly did that happen? When did Jesus turn into bread. The Lord's Supper didn't happen until later on in his ministry and even when He broke bread with his disciples at the Lord's supper scriptures don't say that the literal bread they ate that night was the Lord's actual flesh.

Instead, you claim that little wafers of bread turn into the Lord's flesh every time you have “Mass”. Where is it described in this chapter that bread turned into Jesus’ body? It doesn't.

The entire theme of John chapter 6 is about belief in Christ. Jesus challenged the crowd about their unbelief even after He fed them miraculously. They asked for a sign, and He mocked them saying He was their sign, if they could only see it.

He clearly said in verses 40 and 47 that those who believe in Him will have eternal life. He was equating belief in Him as the sin-bearer and sacrificial lamb as being the true bread of life.

As He said in verse 63, “It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” He then challenged the disciples on whether they believed and stated that not all of them would believe.

It's that simple - true belief in Christ is what is required for eternal life. You have added rigid requirements and rituals when the Gospel message is simple.

How to Interpret the Bible

The method that has been employed for over 3500 years is Pardes (Jewish exegesis)
  1. Peshat (פְּשָׁט) — "plain" ("simple") or the direct meaning[1].

  2. Remez (רֶמֶז) — "hints" or the deep (allegoric: hidden or symbolic) meaning beyond just the literal sense.

  3. Derash (דְּרַשׁ) — from Hebrew darash: "inquire" ("seek") — the comparative (midrashic) meaning, as given through similar occurrences.

  4. Sod (סוֹד) (pronounced with a long O as in 'bone') — "secret" ("mystery") or the mystical meaning, as given through inspiration or revelation.

"I do not follow the ROMAN "church" created by the Roman pontiff Constantine."

Did you not read my most #63 or are you suffering from anterograde amnesia?

Constantine was NEVER a pontiff....for the hundredth time!

Pontiff was a word derived from the Latin pontifex had evolved to signify a high Roman priest. That word was adopted by the early Christians to designate bishops and later to designate the Bishop of Rome. The word was used extensively in the Vulgate Bible to identify the Jewish high priests.

The origin of the word may be Babylonian, the office of the Bishop of Rome definitely not.

Does that include believing that he means what he says when he holds up a piece of matzoh and says "Take, eat, for this is my Body"?

Despite the cognitive dissonance,
Constantine was the Pontifex Maximus
of the Roman Pagan State religion.

It was derived from the Babylonian religion.

The Pontifex Maximus ( the great bridge builder)
conducted dead souls to Hades over the river styx.

After Nicea it was transferred to the new Pagan Roman "church"

"They have occurred together each year since the year 2000."

LOL...No they haven't. Easter always occurs on a Sunday, Pesach always begins on the 15th of Nisam. Since this is not an issue of different interpretations it is incredibly easy to prove you wrong on this. With the exception of 2010 they have fallen on different days, sometimes separated by as much as 4 weeks (2005 & 2008).

"Despite the cognitive dissonance...."

You apparently think the shotgun approach to discussing history is effective. To those of us who have actually studied history it is comical. You can't even keep your geography, cultures, and time-lines right.

1) The River Styx is from Greek, not Babylonian mythology.

2) No mythology contains a reference to a bridge over the River Styx, although a Styx River Bridge does exist in Hopatcong, NJ. There was always a boatman to ferry souls cross the river.

3) Constantine was NEVER a Pope. There were 29 Popes before and a total of six Popes during the reign of Constantine:

St. Marcellus I (308-309)
St. Eusebius (309 or 310)
St. Miltiades (311-14)
St. Sylvester I (314-35)
St. Marcus (336)
St. Julius I (337-52)

Was the piece of matzoh actually a literal piece of His body? Is the wafer that your priest blesses a literal piece of His body?
