Doomsayer 'flabbergasted' that world didn't end {Poor Harry Camping}

The religious broadcaster who made the world's biggest mistake, twice, is bewildered that things did not go according to his prediction and the world did not end at 6 pm on May 21.

Harold Camping, whose radio network is reported to be worth between USD 70 million and USD 120 million, was nowhere to be seen publicly Sunday after his prediction didn't come true, according to media reports on Monday. Camping's Family Radio network in Oakland, California, broadcasts on 150 stations in the US, as well as reaching audiences in Europe, Asia and Africa

Tom Evans, a Family Radio board member, told ABC News Camping was at his Oakland home "somewhat bewildered" and "mystified" that the rapture did not happen

In 2009, the nonprofit reported in tax filings that it received USD 18.3 million in donations, and had assets of more than USD 104 million, including USD 34 million in stocks or other publicly traded securities.

Perhaps they have a different definition of 'non-profit' than I...

Another wolf in the flock! How many will now turn against Christ because of this terrible man?

What part of Matthew 24:36 was so difficult for this blasphemer to comprehend?

I pray that this man sincerely asks for forgiveness from Jesus, and that those he led astray can find the truth for themselves.

One last thought about this.

No one knew Scripture like Jesus Christ. As the Word He inspired and shaped it. Yet even He did not see the date of His return hidden within it. Unless you think he lied when He said:

"“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

So who does a human being think he is trying to go over Jesus' head to sneak a peek.

Matthew 24:36 (King James Version)

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

But don't you know that all Pre Trib Rapture types believe that Matthew is only for the Jews...

Their definition is that they make the profit, but you pay their taxes!

Which of course is not the case... while the original audience of Matthew was the Jews who needed proof that Jesus is the Messiah, that little part later on about "every tribe, tongue and nation kinda broadens the scope of that message. :)

We need to militantly and in the strongest possible way do everything to rebuke these blasphemers. As was pointed out, these actions are those of a grievous wolf as mentioned in Acts 20.

God is flabbergasted that ANY MAN would predict a time for the end of the world. Jesus said NO MAN knows the HOUR...not the angels in heaven, not even the Son...ONLY the Father knows the time.

“I’m flabbergasted, I tell you!” as he headed for the bank, counting his money.

Camping has proven to be the quintessential "non-prophet."

Or was he headed out of the bank counting the money? Has he been seen since May 21?

Many and many will not even look at Christianity -- this is from an Indian website, so Camping has affected missionary work there I'm sure as well as elsewhere

I'm gonna guess "very few". Seriously, people who believe in Christ will not turn against him because an old man made a fool of himself. And people who didn't believe will not have their minds changed either.

It made Christianity look very foolish when his goofy notion went viral.

Gee, thank you for your kindness and good words. I’m sure these brethren feel your goodness and love for them.

true. the hindus and moslems were laughing. Not to mention the secularists who had a field day. This will be tossed in the face of ALL of us Christians

Militantly? What Bible do YOU read? I knew that kind of language was in the Koran, but I certainly didn’t think it was in the Holy Scriptures.
