I don't know enough to comment one way or the other,just that to me it seems like a guilty man wouldn't make the announcement Corapi did and also that remember the bishops made a mistake with Padre Pio too.

We just have to pray and remember that our priest, our Leader, our Lord is Jesus Christ who has given us His Church which is not just some middle-manager level bishops but us all, we are all The Church.

i believe the accusations against him are true and he is getting out of Dodge, rather than defend himself. his statement is weird and not very convincing. he’s letting “procedure” stand in the way of serving Christ? i think becoming a “celebrity” has gone to his head and now he is bigger than the Church, it’s a shame.

Saint George Preca from Malta was silenced for 10 years (basically under house arrest) until his bishop called him into his office and apologized for the unjust treatment he had received.
