Beautiful. Brings back memories of my trip to Eastern Europe — Warsaw was among the countries we visited.
Aw thanks!! =). I decided to drop in their Bible study first, before I go to their church.

Thanks to Charles, he found a list of churches suitable for what I was looking for. This one was the closest.
And thanks to caww for the great idea of going to a Bible study first.
By 7/17, I will be sure to have a church my Aunt Jeannie and I can start going to!
I noted on the churches web site some of the Pastor’s sermons are listed for the listening....that too will give you some idea if his style of preaching and teachings, as well as his delivery is something you can learn and grow from.
Thanks to Charles, he found a list of churches suitable for what I was looking for. This one was the closest.
Glad to hear it, and glad to be of help. Let me know how things go.
Good for you. God’s blessings on you and your new home.
Sorry Charles, my post #385 was meant for NoGrayZone. Somehow the names got mixed up in the header.
Thank you, Rev. Henrickson, for helping NoGrayZone here.
The internet can do a great deal of damage by spreading wickedness widely, but it can also do a lot of good. Things like this — helping people find a church — are a perfect example of how somebody on one side of the country can ask a question and get helped by people literally from the other side of the country to get what they need, even if what they need is in their own neighborhoods.
Regarding the LCMS Churches on Long Island, I can personally vouch for the pastors at St. James (my own church), St. Luke, and Resurrection Garden City as being excellent churches and pastors. A complete list of the LCMS churches in the area is at http://www.ad-lcms.org/.
Just an FYI, St. James’ website is out of date and for the summer Sunday services are at 8.30 and 10, not 8.30 and 11.
That is the one I have chosen!
so, what did you finally decide, ngz, if I might ask?
