Skip to comments.American Churches To Embrace 'Chrislam' On June 26, 2011
Posted on 06/23/2011 5:28:45 PM PDT by BigFinn
NTEB has reported extensively on the growing Chrislam movement. Started by Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, it has grown dramatically and now has infected many hundreds of churches and denominations all across America. A group called Faith Shared is now spearheading the move to merge Christianity with Islam, and in the process provoking the very judgment of God down upon us as a nation. The following is taken directly from their website:
Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each others sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Quran, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.

Is Warren a false prophet, leading people away from Christ?
Does he need to re-read Matthew 7?
Jesus said to his disciples:
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing,
but underneath are ravenous wolves.
By their fruits you will know them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Just so, every good tree bears good fruit,
and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.So by their fruits you will know them.
This is very sad. It will make the muslims very happy though.
Van Impe leaves TBN over Chrislam remark
Hey Rick, I have just one request of you. Ask to be allowed to read from the Bible, at a mosque, just before and after one of their prayer services, ya jack@$$.
Jesus responding to Pilate's question of "What is truth?" said, "All, those who seek the truth must come through me. "
To do otherwise is not truth. How much clearer to we need to be?
Jesus: "I am the way, the truth and the life." No one shall come to the father except through me."
How can people be so stupid? This action is completely unBiblical. When I go to church on Sunday and if this happens I will walk out.
No, it’s worse. At best they’re still infidels to be enslaved. At worst they’re now Apostates, to be killed.
Shame on John Piper for promoting a guy who promotes this nonsense. Respects Jonathan Edwards? Yeah, and the moon is made of green cheese.
Sergio, they mock the Lord with their arrogance.
Woe unto them.
I wonder if the "Christian" minsiter will read to his flock the verses in the quaran that tell Moslems forcibly convert "infidels" to "allah", or else strike them at the neck, (i.e. cut their heads off)? Or the verses in the quar'an that call Jews 'pigs' and 'monkies'? The most interesting verses a Protestant "minister" could read to his flock is the part where it refers to Jesus as just a mortal man,a prophet, and a fairly unimportant prophet at; and NOT as the only begotten Son of God, God Incarnate, and the Saviour of the world.
The scriptures warn that before the "end times" there must first be a "general apostacy". I, and many others as well, could make the case that we are living in that era. If not, it sure seems like we are.
This is the Unitarian Universalist Church. Just take your teaching from whatever makes you feel good.
I’ve noticed many Unitarian churches on the list. They haven’t followed Christ ever.
“I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.” - Jesus
Sort of unequivocal.
This is astounding, but less so when I read some of the congregations that supported this: UCC, UMC, Episcopal, the Riverside Church in NYC. All already rotted out by apostasy.
There are a lot of United Methodist, Episcopal, United Churches of Christ, a BUNCH of non-denominational churches. What is surprising is that there are a few Catholic churches.
In the Gospel for Wednesdays Mass, Jesus says: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. (Matt 7:15). Of course we first think of individuals when we see a verse like this. But the Lords teaching can, and should be applied also to philosophies.
One of the terribly destructive philosophies is a false notion of freedom. The sinful world, going all the way back to Satans deceit in the garden, thinks of freedom as being able to do whatever I please. In effect those who hold this, flaunt their false notion of freedom saying in effect, I will do what I want to do, and I will decide if it is right or wrong. No one will tell me what to do. It is freedom in the abstract, freedom for its own sake, rather than for the sake of being able to do what is right.
That this notion of freedom is false is evident from its fruits. For although many, in modern times, claim to march under the banner of freedom from being told what to do, it becomes clear that many of them end up it a terrible state of increasing slavery and bondage.
For this era when a false notion of freedom is exulted is also an era of increasing addiction to alcohol, drugs, pornography, sex, and a general lack of self control. And with greed and materialism, whatever we have is never enough. There is thus a bondage to things, a kind of incapacity to live without endless numbers of things and creature comforts. Therefore we also see increasing bondage to credit, both personally and nationally. We simply cannot stop our runaway spending. There is also an increasing lack of ability to make and keep commitments and many feel compelled to divorce, leave the priesthood and religious life.
None of this shouts the freedom that so many boast of. Rather there is evident, bondage, inability, compulsion, addiction, and an out of control quality to modern life.
You will thus know by its fruits that false freedom is not true freedom. It masquerades in the sheeps clothing of liberty, but underneath it is the ravenous wolf of bondage. Many cry Liberty! when they really mean libertine and licentious. They are headed straight for bondage. St. Augustine said,
For of a perverse will, was a lust made; and a lust served, became custom; and custom not resisted, became necessity. (Confessions 8.5)
The Catechism also says,
The more one does what is good, the freer one becomes. There is no true freedom except in the service of what is good and just. The choice to disobey and do evil is an abuse of freedom and leads to the slavery of sin. (CCC # 1733).
And thus we arrive at the definition of true freedom which is the capacity to obey God.
And what are the fruits of true freedom? An increasing liberation from the power of sin, the increasing capacity to do what is right and just by the power of God. True freedom brings greater self control, the ability to moderate ones desires and have them submitted to right reason. True freedom brings serenity, for ones life is in greater balance and harmony.
By true freedom, the innumerable sorrows of false freedom listed above are largely avoided and ones life is simpler, more focused, and one enjoys the results of a disciplined and reasonable life. Sorrows and suffering are not eliminated but are diminished for many of their sources in excess, addiction and compulsion are removed. True freedom ushers in, by Gods power, the life that Jesus Christ died and rose to give us.
So what do you want, the fake freedom of the world, or the glorious freedom of the children of God? (Rom 8:21)
And I'm overly, absolutely confident that it will not happen in the God Fearing, Bible Reading Christian Church that I attend.
You don’t know my priest. He would die rather than do something contrary like this.
Very orthodox and reverent Novus Ordo Mass. I feel very blessed to be in the parish.
The Pope Kissing The Qu’ran
Nothing "sort of" about it. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by the Son, Jesus.
These unitarian Rick Warren wanna-be's can believe whatever they want. Come judgement day they'll find out differently. Gonna suck to be them.
**What is surprising is that there are a few Catholic churches.**
Is there a list somewhere. We’ll get to those priests. LOL!
A world government, a world religion and a world economy leads to what....?
One in Illinois...... great. The infestation has started here.... I'm going to be VIOLENTLY ill.
In a more modern and simpler form of English—cut off their heads and cut off their fingers.
The antiquated Shakespearean type of language kind of romanticizes and softens the brutality of the actual blood-curdling words.

Note: there is NOT a Catholic church in Illinois involved in this (whew!) There are however a bunch of Methodist, Unitarian, Episcopal and United Church of Christ "churches" on this list.
Excellent quote from Matthew.
first, “Chrislam” is insanity.
at best, it’s the product of fools believing the taquiyya.
at worst, it is ministers and priests who have sold their souls.
...as i’ve said elsewhere, i’ve read the Quran, Sira, ahadith. Islam is NOT a man-made religion. it IS the religion of Satan. i can show this quickly to almost any true Christian. (examples:.
Psalms shows Satan hates music, and Islam forbids music.
The angel of light in the cave, CHOKED Mohammad, and terrified him, and shook him... it was Satan, appearing as Jesus himself told us Satan still can.
and the peversion of holy matrimony, into “property” and “a field to tilth”.
and most of all, what Islam does to children, for example the most perfect Mo himself “thighing” a child from age 6 to 9, when he finally had sex with Aisha. a religion that calls him the perfect man to be emulated, is Satan’s. own!)
second, please forgive my presumption, and understand my fervent wish for Christian unity.
(especially in the face of the true evil of Islam, which IS rapidly growing, and killing true christians all over the world !!!)
...i wish i had a Priest like Salvation does. sadly, not all are good. Catholics must be honest, and admit that people like “Father” Phleger wear the collar.
...and i’d be honored to attend usconservative’s church.
but, Warren’s church used to be good... any individual church, can be changed in a decade, with one bad pastor.
the Catholic church, at least has the advantage, that a single bad priest, cannot make any fundamental changes.
in spite of some bad, the church is essentially unchanged in over 1000 years.
(and the Coptic Christians in Egypt, we should ALL respect and admire!)
...but against Islam, i’m proud to stand beside ANY true Christian, both Salvation, usconservative, and the many others here.
Jesus himself scolded disciples for trying to stop those preaching in his name. i believe we ARE brothers and sisters in Christ.
...and to paraphrase Ben Franklin, if we don’t hang together,
we most assuredly will be beheaded separately...
This abomination is the exists in the realm of those misguided by the heretic Luther.
“But I am confident that it will not happen at my Catholic Church.”
Why did Archbishop Fulton Sheen predict that Mary would be the key to reconciling the faiths of Rome and Mecca?
The Pope Kissing The Quran
first, it was a Patriarch giving him the book, not an Imam.
in fairness, it might have been an honest misunderstanding.
i don’t cast the first stone.
but, Catholics do NOT believe the Pope can’t make mistakes. certainly he can! it is a myth we believe he is infallible in all things.
and please remember, that Catholics are on the front lines, being killed all over the world for their faith.
finally, here are his OWN words, from the Pope you mention.
there are many ministers who wouldn’t say even this:
“Islam is not a religion of redemption.
There is no room for the Cross and the Resurrection. Jesus is mentioned, but only as a prophet who prepares for the last prophet, Muhammad.
There is also mention of Mary, His Virgin Mother, but the tragedy of redemption is completely absent.
For this reason not only the theology but also the anthropology of Islam is very distant from Christianity.
From Crossing the Threshold of Hope, pp.92-93.”
Why did Archbishop Fulton Sheen predict that Mary would be the key to reconciling the faiths of Rome and Mecca?
a) ANY Catholic would pray that ALL Muslims become Christians.
that remark could easily be interpreted in that context.
b) if not, then again, Fulton IS a mortal man, and capable of error.
c) again, can’t we stop sniping at our fellow Christians, and have some Christian unity against true evil ? against the true religion of Satan himself ?
...i hate the cliche of “WWJD”, but really, would he approve of snarky commments and “telling” points?
or would he embrace ALL who believe in him, and preach in his name, and say “Jesus is Lord !”
It certainly won’t happen at our Baptist church, either.
That was the last Pope.
Benedict doesn’t condone this “Chrislam” crap.
I’m waiting to see how the LDS deal with this invitation.
I pray so.
How many times have we Catholic and Orthodox told you guys that the big green book was not the Koran but a copy of the Eastern Orthodox liturgy?
I think Warren is in love with his own reflected image in the mirror.
Yah, I didn’t think about that, the impression seems to be that the moslems are always going into the Christian churches but are Christian leaders allowed to go into the oh-so-holy moslem mosque? I doubt it, since the infidel is unclean.
Thanks for the background information. I get so tired of them posting the misguided information
God bless you!
