Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Help our American Heroes to call this to mind and therefore always have hope: because of Your great love, they are not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new toward our Heroes every morning; great is Your faithfulness. We will say to ourselves, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him" We will be glad and rejoice in Your love, O God, for You saw our affliction and knew the anguish of our souls. You have not handed us over to the enemy but have set our feet in spacious places. Hallelujah! You, eternal God, are our refuge, and underneath are Your everlasting arms. You will drive out our enemies before us, saying, "Destroy him!" In Jesus name, we pray Amen
come and pray
Praying with you for our Heroes and our beloved Nation.
I join in prayer for our heroes and nation!
Someone has defined friendship as knowing the heart of another and sharing ones heart with another. We share our hearts with those we trust, and trust those who care about us. We confide in our friends because we have confidence that they will use the information to help us, not harm us. They in turn confide in us for the same reason.
We often refer to Jesus as our friend because we know that He wants what is best for us. We confide in Him because we trust Him. But have you ever considered that Jesus confides in His people?
Jesus began calling His disciples friends rather than servants because He had entrusted them with everything He had heard from His Father (John 15:15). Jesus trusted the disciples to use the information for the good of His Fathers kingdom.
Although we know that Jesus is our friend, can we say that we are His friends? Do we listen to Him? Or do we only want Him to listen to us? Do we want to know whats on His heart? Or do we only want to tell Him whats on ours? To be a friend of Jesus, we need to listen to what He wants us to know and then use the information to bring others into friendship with Him.
Read: John 15:9-17
We not only see, but can feel your hand at working around us, reminding us and warning us of the times we live in. We pray that unbelievers begin to question what is happening so they may stop and really question what is going on. May they find you when looking for answers. Your word says the beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord. May they fear the future and want to make things right with you. We pray that as they seek your face, the fear turns into wisdom and wisdom into the knowledge of the merciful and forgiving God You Are. May they find peace and joy knowing your great love for all of us.
There are so many battles we are fighting in our culture today (homosexual marriage, abortion, tv/movies/music that pushes sexual contents on all, but is targeted towards our children, school that are hostile to you....) and we turn to You, who goes before us in each and every battle. Help us to trust you completely and to stand firm, following Your words and ways. Those religious leader who has given into the cultural pressure, we pray that you convict them. Help them to see you give us your word to live by for our own good. May they turn to you and lead their congregations according to your word and will.
Father, watch over our troops and there families. May they lack nothing and be blessed for the sacrifices they make for our country. Help us to honor them with words AND deeds. Give them wisdom, discernment and strength while in battle.
We pray for a revival in this nation. The gospel has been preached in this nation probably more than anywhere else, yet so many people hear it and don't take it seriously. I pray that you awaken people to really listen and consider what will happen when they die and what will happen if they are wrong if they deny you.
Thank you for hearing our prayers.
In your Son Jesus’ Name we pray.
'May His Blessings and Peace be yours.' (Eph.1:2)
Praise the Name of Jesus Christ forever!
