Vampires, the devil's deceit and mental illness are among the hot topics for some 300 exorcists who flocked to Poland this week from as far away as Africa and India for a week-long congress. Held at Poland's Roman Catholic Jasna Gora monastery, home to the venerated Black Madonna icon, this year's congress "examines the current fashion for vampirism in Europe and the world-over, schizophrenia and other mental disorders as well as the devil's deceit during exorcism," according to the monastery's radio station.

My understanding is that exorcism is only successful when the possessed person has some remaining free will which seeks rescue. 0bama and his minions are what is known as “perfectly possessed.” I.e. they are completely devoted to evil and have no desire to be set free.

"Exorcists meet in Poland; Tackle vampires."

So - like they have Don Henrie playing Quarterback for the Vampire team?

This should be almost as good as the Soccer match between the Classical Philosophers and the long John Silver Impersonators.

How many Polack’s does it take to screw a stake into a vampire?

5. One to hold the stake and the others to turn the coffin.

Seriously, how many people here believe in demonic possession and exorcism? I personally think it is probably just superstition.

You'd be surprised.

“Seriously, how many people here believe in demonic possession and exorcism?”

Have you taken a look at Capitol Hill lately?

From my personal experience I can tell you that I firmly believe you could not be more wrong.

Demonic possession is fundamental Christian doctrine. Part of Jesus’ earthly ministry consisted of casting out demons. I find it hard to understand some of the gratuitous cruelty and hatred which afflicts the world except in terms of demonic activity.

Along those lines, the original connotation of “blessing” is empowerment and naming.

The concept is that which you name you empower. For this reason, I will not ever, either in speech or in print refer to the current occupant of the White Hut by either his legal name (BS) or the name he chose for himself at age 18 (BHO)

Rather, I find it appropriate to refer to him in the political context as “The Usurper” and in all other contexts as “Legion.”

I find both appellations descriptive and accurate.

Abortion alone (and the 50 million-plus dead children in its wake) should convince one of demonic possession (as in [many] someones over at PP are surely possessed by demons).

And it's been told that there are those currently seeking and waiting for a good exorcist; it's not a job too many priests desire, because the devil can overtake them too.
