He should tell Fox that he won’t accept invitations to their studio until their women are properly clothed.

The name Campus Crusade for Christ is dated and no longer works and in many countries of the world shuts the doors to ministry immediatly.
The same thing is happening with many missions groups. As an example, Gospel Missionary Union became Avant Ministries a few years back.

No big deal.

I would have suggested a different name than Cru, but whatever.

The word "crusade" comes from the Latin crux ("cross") and the suffix -atus (person associated with), so a "crusade" is something done by "crusaders," who are "with-the-cross-people". "Crusade for Christ" is therefore a redundancy; a crusade for someone or something other than Christ is using the term metaphorically -- the only real crusades, the only ones that are accurately so-called, are for Christ.

I have no idea what "Cru" means. It reminds me of a misspelling of a rowing sport, or perhaps a childhood disease missing the consonant at the end.

RIP, although the relevance escapes me.

It's not a light matter to remove CHRIST from your preaching or nameplate, as CCCI is doing, as I wrote/posted in an earlier post Friday.

Motivation: Remember, God sees the motivation of the heart and the motivation for this act by CCCI is none other than offended by the name of CHRIST and ashamed of the gospel of CHRIST.

There is absolutely NO valid justification for removing the name CHRIST when it was formerly use as a nameplate in goodwill and mission: but now removing it is demonstrating that they are offended by the name of CHRIST and ashamed of the gospel of CHRIST.

When CCCI plans to remove the name of Christ, they are removing the offense of Christ's cross. Labeling it only God's love without the name of CHRIST and the CROSS is demonstrating that they are ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ and the cross of Christ.

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel... In fact, Campus Crusade for Christ is NOW demonstrating by this organization 'name' change and the removing of 'CHRIST' from their organization's name, that they ARE FINALLY ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ.

So they say 'God instructed them to this -cru- name'. Oh yeah, when would God Almighty remove His Sons name - CHRIST? Answer that one.

They say: There's only one reason we'd change. We want to do a better job of connecting people to God's love and forgiveness.

WRONG: So where is the cross of CHRIST. For 2,000 years the name of Christ IS. And this organization used that name, CHRIST, as part of their nameplate mission. BUT now, no more. When someone or any organization refuses to use the name of Christ, then they ARE ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ.

Why and How can I enumerate this?

Consider when someone or some org refuses to be identified with the name of Christ - especially after having used the name CHRIST as part of their nameplate mission - then that someone/organization is OFFENDED by the name of CHRIST. The true motivation of removing CHRIST from their nameplate and well-known goodwill mission, is because now they are finally offended and ashamed of being recognized by the name of CHRIST. By removing that name, CHRIST, from their nameplate they are abandoning the decade old goodwill mission of the name of CHRIST that they currently have. It's exceedingly sad to see the caving-in to lessor purposes that the name of CHRIST shall to be removed. Apparently, since that name of CHRIST offends, then the preaching of CHRIST will also offend people, so they remove CHRIST's name to subvert the offense when sharing the good news to people. Since the name of CHRIST is far superior, and a name that is above all names, then removing it can only be the motivation of being ashamed of His name and offended by His name: CHRIST JESUS: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

That’s why there’s an upside for going to hispanic communities in L.A.

I was in panorama city 3 weeks back with my Filipino bud, and were in a strip mall with mostly mex buyers and almost at every 200 feet, there’s either grotto of the Virgin Mary or a mural of Jesus.

THrough this response I’d like to thank all who posted. I’d post back to each but typing ‘dittos’ 23 times would get a little tedious.

God bless you all.

I do have one comment: to the posters who pointed out that Crusade means ‘person associated with the cross’ and thus thought this made ‘Christ’ redundant, you must keep in mind my other point: if Crusade is the part that makes people wary, then you remove the word ‘crusade’, then your point is clear: Campus for Christ. Can’t get any better than that, as I see it.

Actually, rather a lot of the Girbilism majors seek to incite lust in other women just as much.

Go take some courses at a university now and see. (but wear something frumpy)

I do have one comment

Yup. I was just pointing out that "Campus Crusade for Christ" was kind of a silly name to begin with -- people on a college campus ought to know enough English and history to know that it's a redundancy -- and "Cru" is far worse. "Campus for Christ" or "Campus Crusade" would both be fine, imo.

They dance around it, but I believe the word they cannot handle is Christ. This is not news: our Lord and Savior has been a scandal and a horror to the world from the day He stepped up from Jordan. But His sheep hear His voice and know it and come in through the door to be with Him.
