Stock markets crashed worldwide on Monday due to escalating debt concerns in the U.S. and across the Eurozone. The S&P 500 plummeted 79.92 points to 1,119.46. On a percentage basis, the S&P fell 6.66%. To this, I jokingly tweeted: “Is Satan sending us another buy signal?”
Many stock market watchers will remember that the S&P 500 hit an intraday low of 666.79 on March 6, 2009. Two years and two months later, the S&P 500 more than doubled to an intraday high of 1370.58. In other words, 666 marked a bottom in the stock markets.

The US dollar and the euro are closest to being considered supranational currencies. Both have sunk in value globally. Perhaps redesigning the currencies to incorporate the mark of the beast is what could trigger bullish recoveries. So far, 666 has saved the S&P 500 at least once.

I know you meant this as partial sarcasm, but you know as well as I do that the Falling Away has to happen soon. This is just prepping for that event.
The fact that we are witnessing the stage-setting for the Tribulation happening so rapidly means that the time that Christ comes for His bride will happen very soon.
Knowing that God doesn't want anyone to perish, if even one person accepts Christ as Savior as a result of this information being put out there, and does not have to go through the Tribulation, then it's worth posting.

In John's vision did he really see the S&P Index but not the Dow, NASDAQ or any of the myriad of other indexes flash up on a stock trader's screen. I didn't know that the Antichrist was exclusively a NYSE day trader.

rounding would make it 667, but that’s close enough who see the mark of the beast every time 666 comes up.

Contrary to the most fervent wishes of some, the numbers in the article aren't the issue. The issue is that God said that there would be a one-world economic system that involved the number 666 and we see secular voices calling for a system involving the number 666 that they believe will fix the world's economy.
The fact is, to the dismay of many, is that we are living in the time when Jesus Christ will return. And, to further the panic of those who wish to convince themselves that the Bible is a book of fables, the time that God gives man for forgiveness and salvation is rapidly dwindling.
That's the real issue, and the fact that there are many who don't like it could not be more irrelevant.

it could be today. i oppose these false doctrines about a 7 year tribulation and national Israel, etc, etc.

Yes, the Rapture has to happen first, but it's like they say - if it's Halloween, and we already see Christmas decorations out in the stores, we know that Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

Lets see, you don't have any wars going on (compare to October 6,1973) (Matthew 24:6), you don't have nation rising against nation, any famine and pestilences (v7) and lawlessness (v12) is down if looking at crime statistics and regulatory compliance rates. There are no false Christs performing miracles and "great signs" (v24). Jerusalem is not surrounded by armies (Luke 21:20). And at least for the next ten days, Jesus can't possibly come back because the weather forecast calls for clear and cloudless skies over Jerusalem. (Luke 21:27).
But the number "666" showed up for a brief moment on a synthetic market index in the United States, where 99.999% of the world had no idea, and if they did wouldn't see or care about the correlation - and that is proof that it is Halloween.

God will come in His own time. Of that I am certain.
I just don't look at silly coincidences (666.79) and act like it's another clear sign that the end is near. It just makes the real truth look foolish.
