This is a big week on EWTN! In addition to the Papal visit to Ancona, detailed below under Highlights, we will air the installation of Archbishop Charles J. Chaput as the ninth Archbishop of Philadelphia; a Memorial Mass honoring the life of Papal Nuncio Archbishop Pietro Sambi; and a Memorial Mass commemorating the 10th anniversary of September 11. This week, there’s even a music special in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11.

Here are the details:

• EWTN’s Cathedrals Across America: Mass of Installation of the Most Reverend Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap.: Airs live from the Cathedral Basilica of S.S. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia at 1:45 p.m. ET, Thursday, Sept. 8, with an encore at midnight.

• Memorial Mass for His Excellency Archbishop Pietro Sambi: Airs live from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. at 12 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Sept. 14, with an encore at midnight. The Mass will be celebrated by New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan.

• Mass in Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of 9/11: Archbishop Dolan will also preside over this special Memorial Mass from St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, which airs at 4 p.m. ET, Sunday, Sept. 11, with an encore at midnight (U.S. only).

• The Joy of Music: September 11, 2001 _ In Remembrance: This program pays tribute to all those wo experienced the devastation of the Sept. 11 attacks. Host Diane Bish shares music of hope and healing as we honor those who lost their lives. Airs 2:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, Sept. 11, with an encore at 4 a.m. ET, Sat., Sept. 17.

I love EWTN!! I can watch on Sky Angel 48hours back any event I missed. Thanks for sharing! I went to Mass at the Basilica. What a beautifully anointed place. Several chapels with priceless artwork.
