Postal workers refuse to deliver Bible recordings because the CDs are ‘offensive’ (UK)

Postal workers refused to deliver CDs of Bible readings after deciding they were ‘offensive material’.

Several churches had paid for discs with recordings of St Mark’s Gospel to be produced to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

They were due to be delivered to all households on the Channel Island of Jersey, but church leaders were stunned when they were told postal workers would not handle the 45,000 CDs.

Good work my fellow postal workers, soon your souls shall be mine, forever and ever will be your reward.

The UK continues to slide into the toilet. I’ll bet they wouldn’t dare to refuse to deliver 45,000 CDs of the Koran. They’d probably agree to deliver them crawling on their hands and knees. Cowards.

I wonder what the minority breakdown of the Royal Mail is?

'This decision was made on the basis of our terms and conditions which states that we have the right to refuse to distribute something that falls under the category of 'promotional material which could cause offence'

Yet, 99.9% of all other mail is deemed not to be offensive?

He should be fired for such a decision.

But I’ll bet “Playboy”, “Hustler”, and “Penthouse” make it through without any problems.

These Postal “workers” sound like they are just a bunch of whining, lazy bass turds to me. If they don’t want to do their job, they need to find a new job.

But notice the voting on the anti-Christian type comments is overwhelmingly negative. There is hope yet.

Someone get the lights ... the sidewalks are already rolled up.

At the risk of being banned, I think it might be time to adopt a variation of "Remember The Alamo".

Something on the idea of ... I dunno ... Remember Hiroshima.

One point I’m confused about in the story. Did the church pay postage on the deliveries or was the Post Office delivering them for free? The story seems ambiguous on the point.

The muzzies censoring to Scriptures - to their own ruin

John 3:17-18 King James Version (KJV)

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

GB has a state religion - Church of England. The Bible is still the sacred text for the Church I presume. So one department of the government is so offended by another department of government they refuse to cooperate with them? What a silly country.

These were the same clowns who allowed their cities to be burned to the ground by illegals and criminals during the riots and you still ask that question?

Live and let live. Who made them the censorship police. Very arrogant. In America we are equal under God. Each individual matters, there is freedom of thought. This is what Obama hates.

Yes, this point is not clear at all. It almost sounds like the Post Office in question originally agreed to just deliver the CD's for free, and then when they determined it might be "controversial" decided against it.

The article says the churches paid to have the CD's made, but mentions nothing (at least that I saw) about whether they paid the appropriate postage. The question I have is, had the churches paid the postage would the post office have delivered them?

Garsh, I guess should there be a national disaster over there, I won’t be sending any care packages. It might have something offensive in it, like a prayer for their safety or something. Or maybe I should go ahead and send it with a picture of the grim reaper in it and tickle their funnybone!

Not that I would be that surprised if it DID happen in the UK, but the Channel Islands are not part of the UK, they are self-governing Crown Dependencies and this stupidity is entirely on the people and government of Jersey...

Nope.

Britain's government is holding its people underwater until they drown.

And its people are complying by drowning as fast as they can, and with they least amount of irritation to the invading muslims.

Remember the scene in the movie "Ghost" when the ghouls are dragging that guy to hell? That's what it's like watching Britain these days.

And they still have the cheek to flaunt a "royal wedding."

Good job, "royals."
