Vatican's pact with Islam
YNet ^ | 10/2/'11 | Giulio Meotti

Posted on 10/02/2011 8:22:30 AM PDT by Zionist Conspirator

Benedict XVI recently visited again his native Germany, but this time with a different agenda. Five years later, the Vatican adopted a pro-Islam course and has capitulated to fundamentalists. In a recent book written by German journalist Peter Sewald, Pope Ratzinger expressed “regrets” about the Regensburg lecture. The Vatican’s Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone, buried the Pope's lesson about Islam as “an archaeological relic.”

“The default positions vis-à-vis militant Islam are now unhappily reminiscent of Vatican diplomacy’s default positions vis-à-vis communism during the last 25 years of the Cold War,” writes George Weigel, a leading US writer about the Vatican. The Vatican’s new agenda seeks “to reach political accommodations with Islamic states and foreswear forceful public condemnation of Islamist and jihadist ideology.”

Before anyone demands my head, please note the following:

These two paragraphs are merely an excerpt. The main point of the article, as I understand it, is that Pope Benedict XVI was originally a great voice against islam and jihad, but that after the attacks showered down on his head after his Regensburg address he has backpedaled. So please note this is not merely a "the evil Vatican has always supported islam" article but rather one lamenting its caving to islamic pressure.

It has nothing to do with a “pact”.

This is about the world caving to a politically correct approach to dealing with Islam.

They fear that any condemnation of ISLAMIC TERROR, my be perceived of a judgement on Islam.

The world must demand that ISLAM condemn terror, as a condition of membership among civilized religions.

Unless you call Charles Martel's rout of the moors in Spain in the 700's as one of the crusades (which, of course, you shouldn't) the muslims prevailed in every one of the crusades.

Interesting fact, Charles Martel was Charlemagne's grandfather.

The Christians won the 1st Crusade and held Jerusalem for a pretty good while.
From then on it was Muslim determination and European fecklessness--which continues in the region to this day.

It’s an ethnic cleansing of monumental proportions that makes it clear why the Vatican’s submission to political Islam, along with its religious anti-Israel stance, will be remembered as one of the greatest moral failings of the 21st Century.

Excellent article !

Giulio Meotti is suggesting that the Roman
"church" is facilitating the Global Islamic
Caliphate.

Bookmark for later. Because right now I am shocked SHOCKED that the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH is facilitating the Global Islamic Caliphate.

Watch for incoming, Uri'el. The RCCs don't like their vatican secrets being exposed, the truth is too difficult to face, you know...

Maybe if more persons and institutions, including the Vatican could learn from this cat in whose video went bigtime viral this weekend on YouTube:

Just to say a two-lettered word called “NO!”

Yes, let’s distort and exaggerate in order to provide fodder to the anti RCC bigots.. rather than unite against Islam.

The sad reality is that it will be the ordinary folks that will have to do the standing up and fighting against Islamofacism.

On September 12th, 2006, Joseph Ratzinger claimed that the god of the Muslims is both transcendental and unreasonable and he severely condemned jihad and the use of violence in the name of Koran. It was the only public event in which a Pope told the truth about some aspects of Islamic religion.

Sentences like the second one I am quoting make me skeptical of the rest of the article.

This is the most vocal pope in modern history, regarding the dangers of Islam, .... and he's being slammed. Amazing. Backpedaling? please, since there are Christians living in Islam nations... the church has to have some discretion in order to protect them.

As with anything, what is done behind the scenes in more important. No pope could make the statements he has made and be oblivious to the evil that is Islam. But like I said, the anti-RCC bigots will twist anything in order to fit their agenda.

How about we all unite to confront the death cult (Islam), defeat it, and then you all can go back to be bashing the Catholic church???

Sorry, I was targeting the obviously bigoted author of the article and a few other posters. Change the religions and names, and you could get an article like this from neo nazi web sites.

I solved the problem last week while sipping a martini in front of my computer.

It wouldn’t occur to me that this couldn’t be fixed by a good dose of nattering and maybe a visit to a local supermarket and boycotting humus for a week or so.

I even went as far as sending a donation (for $10.99) to a charity in Paki.

I say get out the swords and tell those Muzzies off. Damn the consequences! We did it before and we can do it again.
Might makes right. Full speed and don’t spare the topedos!

*and if you can’t tell that’s sarcasm....

Here are some of this years efforts by Benedict and the catholic church:

“Dialogue frozen between the Vatican & Islamic University of Al-Azhar”

The dialogue is frozen because of this:

“MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS
POPE BENEDICT XVI
FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE
WORLD DAY OF PEACE

1 JANUARY 2011
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, THE PATH TO PEACE

....”At present, Christians are the religious group which suffers most from persecution on account of its faith. Many Christians experience daily affronts and often live in fear because of their pursuit of truth, their faith in Jesus Christ and their heartfelt plea for respect for religious freedom. This situation is unacceptable, since it represents an insult to God and to human dignity; furthermore, it is a threat to security and peace, and an obstacle to the achievement of authentic and integral human development.[1]”...

“Policeman shoots 4 Christians in Egypt, shouting Allah is great
By Paul Zalonski on January 12, 2011 9:39 PM | Permalink | Comments (0)
The online magazine Catholic Culture (here below) carried this story today, which ran yesterday in the AFP, about a Muslim policeman killing Christian women when tensions are already running following the killing of Christians in a church. More sadness for humanity. It is also incredibly sad that the Egyptian Ambassador to the Holy See has stated that the view that Christians are not persecuted. Can you believe it??? The Ambassador’s head is in the sand.

Less than two weeks after a church bombing in Alexandria left 21 Coptic Christians dead, an off-duty policeman shot four Christians on a train, killing a 71-year-old man. A fifth person was also wounded.
“This lunatic went up and down the coach looking for Christians,” said Coptic Orthodox Bishop Morcos of Shobra El-Kheima, who had spoken with witnesses to the shooting. “Seeing a group of girls and women who were not wearing the [Islamic’ veil, he took them for Christians and fired, shouting Allahu Akbar [Allah is great].”

The new attack on Christians came just after the Egyptian government announced that it was recalling its ambassador from the Holy See, in a protest against the Pope’s statement that the country must do more to protect Christians. Before returning to Cairo the ambassador, Lamia Aly Hamada Mekhemar, met with Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States.

A Vatican statement after the meeting said that the Egyptian envoy “described the concerns of her government at this present difficult time.” The statement indicated that Archbishop Mamberti “gave assurances that the it also fully shares the Egyptian government’s concern to avoid the escalation of religiously motivated conflict and tensions, and appreciates the efforts being made to that end.”

Why don’t you armchair missionaries go to the Muslim world and just tell them to make nice and convert.

Besides, reading what ONE journalist believes and interprets instead of actually reading what is news and information is just worthy of DU and every liberal outlet.

But that would not stand in the way of good bashing where the authority of the church is not recognized by any of you anyway.

Dealing with Islam is not in any way simple.

It is only simpletons who think it is.

If you were to read YHvH's WORD,
you would see the rise of the Evil One's
religion in the end of days.

The good news is that the followers
of YHvH win and rule and reign forever.
