Are dinosaurs fossils really that old? [vanity]

Posted on 10/28/2011 6:39:41 AM PDT by Ancient Drive

I read that carbon dating method is only accurate for up to 30,000 yrs. So how are scientists coming up with millions yrs. old fossils? For all we know dinosaurs died off not millions but 100's of thousands of yrs ago.

24 hours after God created an adult man, the man appears to be 30 years old even though he was created only 24 hours ago.

If God created an "adult" male, do you expect him to look like an infant ?

Also God is omnipotent so what would be to be seemingly impossible is possible....

God is probably both, if not more.

I don’t know that He did say that. Good men have been wrongly executed throughout history, haven’t they?

We obviously see things differently.

With God being omnipotent, wouldn’t that mean anything anyone can think of, is possible?

I meant force as in the Star Wars idea of an impersonal force with no "cognition" behind it

Good men have been wrongly executed yes, but do you hold all of them as "good"? Jesus's philosophy comes via the same Gospel writers who write how He did things and said things only God, a divine being could do.

OK

That would be impossible, as I have no way of knowing who or how many good people have been wrongly executed.

The decay of atomic nuclei provides us with a reliable clock that is unaffected by normal forces in nature. The rate will not be changed by intense heat, cold, pressure, or moisture.

. . . but, what if time has changed?

God has no limitations to his will

His will is outside all human preceptions: time, space, physical laws in other words all things are possible to Him

His creations are limited by their design

A car is designed to function as a car, it is limited to the functions designed by it’s creators

Cars cannot say do brain surgery nor understand it just as we humans do not underrstand his will clearly

Here’s a hint for you Romans 3:23 says:

All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

The Bible as Absolute Truth - you won’t find it in the others books of this world nor any of the rest of mankind.

Google the five solas. Sola Scriptura.

God Alone
Jesus Christ Alone
Grace Alone
Faith Alone
The Bible Alone

No substitutions are valid for any of these.

The Bible, Genesis 6 through 8, provides these specifications for Noah’s ark: 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high (in Hebrew 300, 50, and 30 cubits); to be built of cypress wood caulked with pitch inside and out; with lower, middle and upper decks; a window on top for ventilation, and a loading door in the side of the hull. ‘Ark’ is derived from the Latin word ‘arca’, meaning ‘box’, giving us another clue as to its shape.

see more at:

http://www.shipsonstamps.org/Topics/html/arche.htm

Furthermore eggs, babies and juvenile of each kind would be an option for most of those brought onto the ark. God would have ensured peacefulness between all kinds just as God directed them to the ark. Hibernation is also a high probability as science has found lots that do hibernate during extreme stress as this situation most certainly was.

Next question why would pitch be applied both inside and out?

For those that believe in the bible as you do, I’m sure that’s correct.

If you read the link on my last post you would want to follow-up with this verse when the author begins his conclusion about 40 nights and days of rain and it there not being enough water in the atmosphere blah blah blah...

Genesis 7:11

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

Did you notice fountains [or springs] of the great deep burst forth? These fountains bursting forth and heavens being opened is the exclamation point for the hydroplate theory in section II of creationscience.com

In a nutshell I guess that’s a “yes”

What humans think as possible is limited only to what we can concieve of which is still limited to what God is capable of

The message of the Bible if for all people...

For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son as our forgiveness of sins. Our Saviour!

Zechariah 8:23 NIV
This is what the LORD Almighty says: “In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”

Or do a word study throughout all of the Bible for ALL NATIONS on crosswalk.com

Revelation 15:4 NIV
Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.
