I repeat. I follow my faith and do not butt into other’s beliefs.

Fine! How do you feel about the fact that the mormon church has had a very active and extensive missionary program since the earliest days? How do you feel about the 52,000 mormon missionaries that are TODAY going out across the globe and informing Christians that their Christian faith is bogus and the only way to salvation is through membership (either alive or dead) in the mormon church?

How do you feel about the thousands of internet sites sponsored by the mormon church and the multi-million-dollar PR campaigns that are pushing the mormon message, while FReepers are whining about a handful of Christians posting mormon doctrine and practices?

It is discriminatory in the extreme given the facts of the mormon missionary program that some FReepers would derive us of OUR right to speak out against a sect that originated in the mind of one man, Joseph Smith.

In the end it is between myself and God.

By all means, then, if your church body has missionaries out and about...call them home...encourage your fellow members to stop supporting them. Tell them: "In the end, the people you're trying to 'reach' - hey, it's between themselves and God."

Any missionaries to those who practice voodoo in Haiti...be sure your messsage goes out to them

And hey, 'twas too bad the Christian church actually had -- and in some cases continue to have -- missionaries to head-shrinkers, cannibals, & pagan animists out there.

I guess you advocate these folks continuing in their "folk" ways, eh?

You dare question their beliefs and you’re attacking them; let alone they ridiculing Christian beliefs.

However I concern mself with my own faith and do not bother with others. (cubreporter, #138)

That is THEIR faith. You don’t have to let them into your home if ou do not want to. You do not have to answere your door if you do not want to. (cubreporter, #139)

Well, I sure hope your editor never assigns you to cover the Environmental beat. (I think you might have trouble with the concept of "ecosystem.")

You see cubreporter, we live in a ecosystem that goes well beyond "environmental" issues.

Illustration: Let's say you discovered you had water pollution in your drinking water @ home, and the above posters I pinged (including myself) were your immediate neighbors at risk from the same water source.

Let's apply your "philosophy" above to that scenario:

Well, upon discovery of your polluted water, I suppose you might conclude: "You don’t have to let the water into your home if you do not want to. You can just ignore the neighborhood threat by buying bottled water. I concern mself with my own household and do not bother with others"

Why, how mighty "neighborly" of ye...

The 'perfect' candidate for "Neighborhood Watch"..../NOT!

“Why does anyone care about how someone else worships? Who cares what the Mormons do or the Catholics or Protestants or Episcapalans or Luthrans etc... Everyone should worship as they see fit and the rest of us should mind our own business.”

I’ll tell you why! ‘Cause some think it is their business to! (I agree with you btw)

“Religion is a very private and personal matter. It matters not to me how anyone worships. If that is their belief then so be it. Everyone to their own comfort zones.”

Nor to me, but yet some feel compelled to put others down to make themselves feel good! Oh gee I wonder why? Maybe because they are not secure in their own religion?

“I am Catholic and believe in God. I always have been and always will be. It is MY business. If someone doesn’t like that fact...then they should just butt out. Plain and Simple.”

I am too! I agree with you! However some feel it necessary to tell me how I am “wrong” as a Catholic and even worse like to tell me how I practice my religion when they don’t know jack.

“Sorry for the rant but I’m so sick of everyone butting into other people’s lives...we have enough of that with the government who also need to butt out.”

Don’t be sorry!!! Remember Gibbs from NCIS...Gibbs Rule #6: Never apologize — Its a sign of weakness.

I just added this song cause I am listening to it as typing all this and have an attitude right now...

Sounds a lot like: "I'm comfortable. Don't bother those others, it could upset my comfort zone when you and they start to erode the silence I prefer."

I would compare your position to that of telling us the sexual degeneracy, cultural erosion, and violence on TV is easily avoided by just not turning on the TV. That of course ignores the fact that those who put that on TV know full well there are kids and clueless adults who will be captured by the corruption. But hey, so long as society doesn't collapse around you to disturb your quiet, you're okay with that.

Thank you Elsie but I really was waiting for an answer from Saundra. Do you think one will be forthcoming?

Yes; but Global Warming will have had to have run it's course first; especially in the nether regions.

Never apologize — Its a sign of weakness.

Corollary: If you're right; there's no need.

yes, back to the point... I care about my own relgion.

But apparently not enough to defend it against those who deem it an abomination. Mormon literature takes your church to task as strongly as the radically rabid wing of the Protestant church.

"Their Jesus is mean,..." blah, blah, blah. How "original".

At least the Christ I worship as a Christian didn't show His love by killing millions of people and laying waste to at least 16 cities in order to "save" people.

The mormon christ is powerless to save you. According to mormon doctrine and teachings, it's only "AFTER ALL YOU CAN DO" that the mormon christ decides to pony up the balance.

Yes, hell would be at the forefront of my concerns as well if I was a mormon who refused to use the knowledge given to me and turn away from mormonism.

I don't have those worries anymore.

Sorry to see that some still do, by choice.

" I follow my faith and do not butt into other’s beliefs."

When you claim your babylonian mystery cult is Christian you butt into our religion as much as Romney butts into Conservatism by falsely claiming he is one.

I'll take it one step further and say that facts in evidence prove that the LDS sect is not only not Christian, they are not even Mormon. How could you claim to be followers of Joe Smith when you have thrown his "retranslation" of the bible in the trash ?....Wasn't a mistranslated bible the reason God(s) himself appeared to Joseph to begin the whole story ?

God's word did not pass away.

Joeseph Smith was not a prophet any more than Romney is a conservative.

Elsie:
The message is that there is an answer to some basic questions such as: Ultimately, am I all alone? And Is this all there is?...Christians believe that those answers and many more are found in the pages of Holy Scripture and in the person of Jesus the Christ. Delivery of the message often starts with a conversation between people, but ends with a conversation between you and God.

Even so, we ANTIs get smitten all throughout the day by folks NOT wanting to hear the message that MORMONism has spread thru the years; but we take it; knowing that the angel lies in wait for those caught up in MORMONism, if they do not change their ways.
