1. The precious blood of Christ has a REDEEMING POWER. It redeems from the law. We were all under the law which says, "This do, and live." We were slaves to it: Christ has paid the ransom price, and the law is no longer our tyrant master. We are entirely free from it. The law had a dreadful curse; it threatened that whosoever should violate one of its precepts, should die: "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." By the fear of this curse, the law inflicted a continual dread on those who were under it; they knew they had disobeyed it, and they were all their lifetime subject to bondage, fearful lest death and destruction should come upon them at any moment: but we are not under the law, but under grace, and consequently "We have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but we have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
We are not afraid of the law now; its worst thunders cannot affect us, for they are not hurled at us! Its most tremendous lightnings cannot touch us, for we are sheltered beneath the cross of Christ, where the thunder loses its terror and the lightning its fury. We read the law of God with pleasure now; we look upon it as in the ark covered with the mercy seat, and not thundering in tempests from Sinai’s fiery brow.
Happy is that man who knows his full redemption from the law, its curse, its penalty, its present dread. My brethren, the life of a Jew, happy as it was compared with that of a heathen, was perfect drudgery compared to yours and mine. He was hedged in with a thousand commands and prohibitions, his forms and ceremonies were abundant, and their details minutely arranged. He was always in danger of making himself unclean. If he sat upon a bed or upon a stool, he might be defiled; if he drank out of an earthen pitcher, or even touched the wall of a house, a leprous man might have put his hand there before him, and he would thus become defiled.
A thousand sins of ignorance were like so many hidden pits in his way; he must be perpetually in fear lest he should be cut off from the people of God. When he had done his best any one day, he knew he had not finished; no Jew could ever talk of a finished work. The bullock was offered, but he must bring another; the lamb was offered this morning, but another must be offered this evening, another tomorrow, and another the next day. The Passover is celebrated with holy rites; it must be kept in the same manner next year. The high priest has gone within the veil once, but he must go there again; the thing is never finished, it is always beginning. He never comes any nearer to the end. "The law could not make the comer thereunto perfect."
But see our position: we are redeemed from this. Our law is fulfilled, for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness; our passover is slain, for Jesus died; our righteousness is finished, for we are complete in Him; our victim is slain, our priest has gone within the veil, the blood is sprinkled; we are clean, and clean beyond any fear of defilement, "For he hath perfected for ever those that were set apart." Value this precious blood, my beloved, because thus it has redeemed you from the thraldom and bondage which the law imposed upon its votaries.

actually, baptism is not a work. a “work” is something you do.
baptism is by the Holy Spirit, thru the Church and it is done TO you, not BY you.
faith is a work, because it is something you do. faith is a gift from God. no one can work their way to heaven, salvation is by grace alone.
Exactly. And that is why the baptism they acknowledged (water) was completely wrong. As is everything the RCC attempts to do Scripturally. And hence, the need for doctrines, traditions, blah, blah.
So, tell us. How does the Catholic receive the Holy Spirit through the church?

baptism saves us??? really? how can that be?
yes, baptism saves us, because it places us into Christ, we receive remission of our sins and we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
so yes my friends, the Bible teaches us that baptism does save us!!
it saves us not by washing the outer man but the soul!
Paul tells us this in Titus 3:5
“he saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteouness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit”
hmm, do you see the word “water” in the Nicene Creed?

“water baptism does not save anyone” again, where does the Bible speak of “water” baptism. Peter tells us baptism does save us.
what i am giving everyone is the historical, orthodox, biblical faith, believed by Christians for 2,000 years.
many may be hearing for the first time as there are many false teachers out there who deny baptismal regeneration.
All in all, I'd say you got problems with that name. It's a long name that is as ironic as the Scripture you use to "prove" your beliefs.
Suggested name change: Another Lord faith in the RCC Water baptism. At least it would take the irony away.
As I have already demonstrated, Acts 8 is water baptism. Play with the words as you will ... it doesn't change the plain meaning of Gods word.
The Bible is clear, Paul says there is only one baptism.
Acts 19 demonstrates conclusively there is more than one baptism ... and it therefore means your understanding of Ephesians 4 is absolutely wrong.
Your understanding of Eph. 4.5 totally ignores the context of UNITY. If you read Ephesians 4 in entirety (not just 4.5 as you have done), this unity is to be based upon solid doctrine.

Yup, and it refers to the only baptism that is capable of being the basis for the unity that is being commanded in Ephesians 4 ... it is Spirit baptism, the baptism which places us into the body of Christ the moment we believe in Him.
Washing the outer body does not cause the washing of the soul.
But when you stand before God, go ahead and tell Him that you expect to get into heaven because you got wet.
So the person has to do a work to be saved. Getting baptized.
Unless you’re telling me that the Catholic church sends out goons to kidnap people and inflict baptism on them, they have to make the decision and engage on their own incentive.
So, if water baptism is what saves you, then why aren’t Catholics sure they’re going to heaven?

1. Acts 8 speaks of baptism, not water baptism. the ones playing word games are adding to Scripture words that are not there.
2. Acts 19 shows there is One Christian Baptism, the one commanded by Christ in Matthew 28 and the one that places us into Christ. Acts 19 shows us the baptism of John is not Christian baptism.
3. Ephesians read in UNITY, still says there is One Baptism.
4. now you have introduced a new nonbiblical phrase, namely “spirit baptism” please tell me where any verse in the Bible talks of “spirit baptism” it’s funny, i am using my wife’s Lutheran RSV and i don’t see “water baptism” nor “spirit baptism” anywhere. all i see is “baptism”

in Christ is where salvation is found, outside of Christ there is no salvation.

baptism is done by the Holy Spirit, thru the Church. ( just as happened in Acts 2:38 ) it is done to us, not by us.
a work is something you do. some people incorrectly believe they are saved because they express “faith” in Jesus Christ. they think this work, which they do, saves them.
no, no, no. we are not saved by anything WE DO.
I see a lot of legalism going on.
