For in fact the body is not one member but many.
(1 Corinthians 12:14)
Our faithful God, we thank You for the grace, mercy, and peace from You the Father and from Jesus Christ, Your Son, that is with us in truth and love. Help us to know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for our sake He became poor, so that we through His poverty might become rich. Please help our American Heroes to continually discover the riches of Christ in their lives, Lord. Lord God, You have chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom You promised those who love You. Cause us to be rich in faith, Lord! In Your name, Lord Jesus, we pray, Amen

Lamh Foistenach Abu!

Where you live has a way of making certain demands on how you live. In my neighborhood, the garbage collector comes on Tuesday mornings, so its my responsibility to get our garbage can out to the curb the night before. Letting the trash pile up on the curb for days before doesnt make for happy neighbors. And we have lots of children playing outside, so signs are posted everywhere reminding drivers to slow down. That means I drive slowly and watch for little ones who, without looking, chase wayward balls into the street.
Its important to remember that God has placed us into the kingdom of the Son (Col. 1:13). Living in His neighborhood means there are life-transforming behavior patterns that should clearly reflect our spiritual location. This is why Paul reminds us that Gods kingdom is not about arguing and bickering over earthly stuff but about righteousness and peace and joy (Rom. 14:17). Living by Gods right standards, living to be a peacemaker, and living to be a source of joy in our relationships are what kingdom life is all about. And, when we live like this, our lives please God and bless others (v.18).
Sounds like the kind of neighborhood anyone would love to live in!

May we be a light in this dark world. Help us to have a servants heart as Jesus did. May we mourn for those who are lost and pray for there eyes and hearts to be open to your truth. Help us to see past there negative attitude and unbelief and remember they are your children who you love and we must too.
Watch over and protect our brave troops as they give there lives serving us. Give them wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment when facing the enemy. Meet and exceed all the needs of their families. Bless them all for their great sacrifices.
Father, we pray that you send us a person of YOUR choosing to lead this nation as president during this difficult and dangerous time. We ask for someone who knows you and love you and your word; someone who walks your path.
