I have just recently started posting here. There are a few that have stood out. You are mos definitely one of them. I feel like i know you.
I pray that the Lord restores your health. I pray that he help you and your wife recover from these afflictions.

When two or more come together in his name...I am convinced it is strongest in prayer as well. My prayers for you and appreciation for your concern for your wife!

Lord God, we praise Your holiness and greatness and give thanks for your lovingkindness toward us. We lift up our friend 2ndDivision Vet and his wife to Your loving care. We ask Lord, that if it is in Your almighty Will that You bring healing to them so they might be able to avoid surgery and continue to care for each other. Please be with the doctors as they provide treatment so it may be of much benefit to them. We ask your blessing toward this couple, that they may know and feel Your presence and comfort in their lives. We know You love them both dearly, Lord. We thank you for Your faithfulness to Your people and we give you all the praise, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

In regard to your comment about asking for food: food assistance / food stamps are exactly intended for folks like you and your wife. You are truly in need and there is no shame in asking for some help.
When you are better and your life has improved you can always take yourself off the assistance.
By the way, I understood a diuretic medicine goes a long way in helping Edema. A man I know, a diabetic lost 75 pounds of water while in the hospital on a diuretic they had him taking. Now out of the hospital he still takes them as the doctor ordered. I'm no doctor but wondered if you have looked into this.

Dear Heavenly Father please touch our good friend 2ndDivisionVet and his good wife and family, particularly we ask you to do touch 2DV`s feet and legs, reduce the swelling and kill the infection.
Please Lord keep a watch over 2DV and his family, encourage and heal them, fill them with Your Spirit, in Jesus Mighty Precious Name we pray..AMEN

Father, please touch this man’s legs and cleanse them of all infection and release the fluids from his feet. He has edema and please guide his doctors to follow your instructions to heal him. Through Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
