Chrislam on the rise...

Communities across the nation are taking Christianity and Islam—two diametrically opposed theologies—and working to blend them together.

“Chrislam, as the name suggests, is a growing movement wherein some Christians are seeking to find common ground with Muslims,” explains theologian Bill Muehlenberg of the doctrine that began in Nigeria in the 1980s. “Indeed, it actually seeks to combine Christianity with Islam.”

Chrislam has gained significant momentum since the seed was planted nearly three decades ago. Earlier this year Christian communities in Dallas, Chicago, Washington, D.C, and other cities placed Qurans in church pews—right alongside Bibles—and preached about the Prophet Muhammad.

Chrislam, eh?
Well, why not?
America (an erstwhile Christian country) is the home of the BIGGEST Christian faith in the world: relative morality, so why not screw up Christianity even more?

Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Earlier this year some articles along this line were proven to be a libelous misrepresentation of apologetics classes being given to help congregations be able to defend their faith.

Having bought into crap like that before and been embarrassed when the truth came out I demand more information before I can give this any credibility.

Paul warned about people coming and teaching in his name. False teachers.

They had better count the pages weekly.

No Pope should ever have kissed the Koran or Quaran;that picture showed a man exhibiting great weakness of intellect and a terrible lapse in faith. There is literally no good excuse. When in Rome,do as the Romans was not the charge given to Peter and his successors.

As a Catholic,I am terribly upset and angered by the act pictured here.

I will never darken the doorway of any church that practices this perverted hybrid religion.

What’s unsaid here is whether or not almost all these churches have black congregants.

I normally avoid the Religion Forum because I see little purpose in the fighting that goes on. Even though I’m not Catholic I see that picture as a warning to all of us.

I went to the source and looked - you are correct. They don't even mention the names or denominations of any of the churches involved. Poor journalism or intentional?

Or maybe this happened in only a few places like Rev. Wright’s church and the exaggerated story is intended to mislead Christians into thinking Islam is harmless and accepted by other Christians.
