Jesus Christ is my Savior and He is all I need. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

I hope your bishop is not reading these threads. I would hate for you to get X'd when you were not ready, although I am sure there is a Christian church that you could fellowship at. :)

“Example if you were killed that would not necessarily be toward your good but if your organs were donated to someone else that would be a glory to God that the other person was able to live. “

Oh, please. If I were killed and someone showed up at my funeral who needed the Gospel that would be a good thing.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Of course you think I’m going to hell so therefore you cannot imagine that I am “called according to His purpose”; however, Jesus Christ is my Advocate and Judge with the Father - thank God Almighty you are not.

Joy to the World:

Poor President Reagan - he didn’t know, as you apparently do for a surety, that all Mormons are going to hell. He liked the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and called it “America’s Choir” - poor President Reagan he was so deceived and ignorant.

Merry Christmas anyway, fellow FReeper.

“although I am sure there is a Christian church that you could fellowship at”

I was raised in the Southern Baptist faith and later in life became a pentecostal/evangelical - heck I was even a Missionary with Youth With A Mission and served in Belize (Central America) for 18 months, part of which was spent in the jungle. I always felt something was missing and I kept seeing inconsistencies and outright contradictions. I also was anti Mormon during most of my life, having believed the lies about LDS.

Despite all my misgivings and harsh judgments about Mormons, I had to admit that they seemed to have happy well adjusted families and as I said something had been missing in my walk with the Lord in the other churches. So when I had the opportunity to listen to the LDS Elders I opened my mind and my heart and found what had been missing - “authority” which is why Heavenly Father raised up the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore His Church on the earth.

It’s OK if you think this is a bunch of hooey but you have to admit that the video about the little girl and her family that is supposed to be the subject of this thread is really awesome.

Merry Christmas.

Like most everything else mormon - it all has to do about 'feelings' doesn't it SD - feeling substantiate the 'faith', feelings substantiate the 'discernment', feelings substantiate the 'doctrine'.

Conveniently lost in all your feelings is the fact that the Bible is very clear about relying on 'feelings' for one's faith. Proverbs 14:12 tells us, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." So 'feelings'.

I had feelings watching "lassie" too, so emotional manipulation as in this link is no substitute for the truth.

Jesus wept and he got mad. He has feelings and I think that is why I have always loved Jesus ever since I was a little girl. I just love the fact that Jesus, our Savior, actually walked around down here, was spit on, persecuted, lied about, abused, tortured, and finally gave His life for me. Yes, I get emotional about it; I appreciate so much His Atoning Sacrifice suffering and dying for me to save me from my sins. I feel the presence of the Holy Ghost encouraging me to love my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, more and more each day. Guilty as charged (having feelings) - and I am not ashamed.

My foster mother’s brother was director south American operations for YWAM for thirty years. I’ll ask him about inconsistencies.
This is the exact same information you have given before. I do have to give you credit, either you are cutting and pasting the words or you have memorized this “testimony”.
If you were raised as SB then went to P/E how can you accept the lds view of chirst as a created/self made man and not eternal. How you can accept fourteen versions of the first vision and those inconsistencies.

It is a nice little video, and gives no information on mormonISM. If the graphics didn’t show at the end you would never know it is lds. You would also never know about the week long celebrations of the celebrations of J Smith birth.

I have seen that look before.

Yeah, the ‘Stepford Wives’ stare.

Frankly while saddened at this families plight, I am disgusted that the Morg uses situations like these for propaganda purposes.

Merry Smithmas!

Just more propaganda from the Morg and ‘families are forever’ (the way the LDS mean it) is a flat out lie.

I’m sorry for your situation and I understand I’ve been there. My gripe isn’t with that, it is with the LDS using situations like yours for their propaganda purposes (”Familes are forever” and tithing are big hooks).

Let me ask you a question. Would you let your children starve in order to pay ‘tithing’ because your church demands it for you to be ‘worthy’ or get welfare assistance? I doubt it, but that is exactly what Mormon leaders have told their members - let the kids go hungry and pay your tithing.

God doesn’t work that way, cults like Mormonism do. That is my concern.

BTW, I will be praying for you and your family.

“The Christian church is made of people and not of brick nor gold.”

= = = = = =
Sandy if you agreed with Penny, you would NOT be LDS. The whole basis of Mormonism is that there is one ‘true’ Church (meaning organization). Penny’s statement refers to the Church Universal (not an organization).

So, you are either being intentionally deceitful in order to appear “more Christian” or you do not understand what Penny was really saying.

Mormons condemn THEMSELVES to Hell, by choosing Joseph Smith over Christ. The mere fact that someone believes that Joseph Smith was a ‘prophet’ means they are rejecting the Christ of the Bible in favor of the Mormon Church.

All we are doing is pointing out a choice YOU have already made. You have used your ‘free agency’ in order to reject the Biblical Christ.

Watch the “Stepford Wives” (original) and you will see the same look.

I am all too familiar with the “Mormon stare” and thought, I had avoided getting it, until my now husband pointed it out and how much it scared him.

If Jesus is all you need, then why are you Mormon? Do you need Mormonism (the ‘one true church’ and its ordinances) as well? If so, then Jesus is NOT all you need. If not, then there is nothing to lose (and everything to gain) by leaving and renouncing Mormonism.

Jesus never USED emotions to MANIPULATE people SD. Jesus never used any slick PR ad campaigns. Yes his emotions were real, not hollywood unlike your little pic.

Nor was his abuse prior to the cross designed to MANIPULATE emotions either SD.

The problem you have to face is that FEELINGS are blocking out the TRUTH and that truth being the mormon Jesus cannot save you in your sins SD - got that from one of your lds sites. Fact is that your mormon Jesus is not much more than a Mr. Potter (Its a wonderful life) holding the mortgage on your soul, again from your lds sites. So if that is the Jesus - I’d feel sorry too.

Did he appear to you in the Temple and tell you that?! Just because someone is polite to Mormons doesn’t mean they don’t realize that Mormonism is a cult.
