AS THE NEW YEAR STARTS, FATHER JOHN CORAPI VANISHES OFF THE RADAR SCREEN (Cath Caucus)
PatrickMadrid ^ | January 2, 2012 | Patrick Madrid

This is noteworthy: Father John Corapi’s Internet presence at sites such as the www.theblacksheepdog.us and http://theblacksheepdog.wordpress.com has vanished, ditto for his presence on YouTube and Facebook. No one I know has any clue what happened to him, but there are several possible scenarios that would explain this. The one I hope is correct is that he has reconciled with the S.O.L.T. order he once was a member of and, more importantly, that he has reconciled with the Catholic Church, from which it certainly seemed he was distancing himself in the wake of all the unpleasantness that erupted last year.

In any case, his abrupt disappearance from the Internet serves as good reminder that we should all continue praying for him, whatever path he may be on. May God bless Father Corapi and may He bless us all.

land, house, vehicles.............and maybe some other less moral items????

was the man’s God The Trinity or money?

i was on to him when i visited his website. two things struck me:

1. the site was all about corapi and little about Christ.
2. everything was for sale. he did not make any articles or sermons available for free to those who may not know Christ.

many people were fooled by this phony because he had a deep voice.

it’s sad to see anyone defend him.

i do agree we should pray for his conversion to Christ.

Clearly, God. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t a sinner.

“i was on to him when i visited his website. two things struck me:”

I could care less by what you were struck.

“1. the site was all about corapi and little about Christ.”

Since it was Corapi’s website, that should not have surprised you. This is your post and you’re talking about what you were struck by. Surprised?

“2. everything was for sale. he did not make any articles or sermons available for free to those who may not know Christ.”

Are you serious? He was on FREE RADIO every single day all across the globe! Did you honestly not know that? Seriously he was on the radio EVERY SINGLE DAY. Radio IS FREE.

“many people were fooled by this phony because he had a deep voice.”

Oh, gee, you think the deep voice was fooled people? So, James Earl Jones must be a fraud too, right?

“it’s sad to see anyone defend him.”

I think it’s sad that you can’t seem to see clearly.

“i do agree we should pray for his conversion to Christ.”

And yours too.

what was chosen?

phony, phony, phony.

who can’t see clearly?

You.

You’re no less a sinner than he is or the rest of us. Your sins may be different, but you’re still a sinner. And if you think he’s a hypocrite, remember you’re one too.

Do you see differently?

“so since we are all sinners, all sin is the same??”

Did anyone say that? Are you denying that you’ve committed mortal sins? Sounds like presumption already.

“hmm, doesn’t sound like Christian doctrine to me.”

Are you sounding very Christian?

“lastly, how am i a hypocrite?”

If you don’t see it, then you can’t believe it. Only God will be able to make you see. He’ll do it in His time.

LOL, you made the hypocrite charge and also that i have committed mortal sins with ZERO EVIDENCE!!

when asked to explain the hypocrite charge, you can’t.

may i suggest looking up the word in the dictionary so you won’t make a fool of yourself next time.

may i also suggest you look up mortal sin or speak to your priest.

are you on the corapi payroll by any chance?

No, actually, the hypocrisy is in your posts and there’s no reason to believe you have not committed mortal sins - presumption being one of them. This is simple enough to prove: Have you committed mortal sins, yes or no?

“when asked to explain the hypocrite charge, you can’t.”

Again, it’s in your posts. I shouldn’t have to explain your posts to you.

“may i suggest looking up the word in the dictionary so you won’t make a fool of yourself next time.”

I’m not making a fool out of myself. Believe me, it isn’t me who looks like the fool in this thread. Ask the other posters.

“may i also suggest you look up mortal sin or speak to your priest.”

Don’t need to. I know what a mortal sin. You’re the one who certainly seems confused on the issue.

“are you on the corapi payroll by any chance?”

No, but you’re certainly not working for God on this matter.

All that has to be done - to prove that I am right - is for you to answer this simple question: have you committed mortals sins?

Sure can tell this is the internet. We can’t even have a caucus thread without sniping at one another.

I heard Father Corapi preach in person about five or six years ago at a church in my area and he was the real thing. It was the best orthodox homily I had ever heard.

I never did follow his career after that and I don’t watch EWTN so I can’t chime on in on what happened, I do think at that time he was for real, and I have a very discerning radar for frauds.

That is like saying that King David was a phony. Whether or not John Corapi was a phony, his preaching was of the Word of God. If he was not against God, surely he was for God. His outside human failings have nothing to do with the work of God. If nothing, it has made him more powerful for God in his own human weakness.
