The dangers of Shariah should be self-evident and, thankfully, the good people of the Florida Family Association (FFA) are working against Islamism in their home state. The Obama administration, some other Western governments, and the Western mainstream media are generally soft-peddling the dangers of radical Islam, so people who value freedom and democracy should be ever vigilant. If the FFA can fluster Ahmed Rehab of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the terrorist-apologists and Shariah pushers du jour, the FFA must be doing something right.
What would Shariah mean? It would mean Islamists attempting to "destroy Western civilization from within." It would mean misogyny and "honor killings" of innocent women. It would mean religiously-sanctioned lying ("taqiyya") to advance the overriding of our Constitution with Islamic "law." It would mean non-Muslims ("infidels") living at best as third-class citizens ("dhimmitude"). It would mean Muslim cab drivers refusing blind customers with "unclean" seeing-eye-dogs. It would mean allowing the creation of autonomous Islamic "no-go zones" right here in the U.S. where American law would have no standing. Should I go on? Would you live under Shariah for fear of "inciting" Muslim anger rather than standing up for democracy? I won't. Luckily, there are groups like the Florida Family Association fighting Shariah -- and succeeding:

Florida Family Association sent out two alerts that encouraged supporters to send emails to members of the Florida House Civil Justice Subcommittee to encourage them to support HB 1209 Application of Foreign Laws in Certain Cases. This bill would prohibit certain provisions of foreign laws including Sharia law from being considered by Florida courts if they do not afford the same liberties, rights and privileges guaranteed by the Florida and US Constitution.
Thousands of supporters sent emails which encouraged members of the Florida House Civil Justice Subcommittee to support HB 1209.

There are numerous provisions of Sharia law which are inconsistent with Florida statutes. Sharia law authorizes polygamy, pedophilia and perpetuates violence towards women and death for dishonoring the faith. HB 1209 and companion bill SB 1360 are significant legislative starts in the right direction to protect Americans from the intrusion of some provisions of Sharia law which are inconsistent with American laws.
Section 3 of HB 1209 and SB 1360 Application of Foreign Law in Certain Cases states "Any court, arbitration, tribunal, or administrative agency ruling or decision violates the public policy of this state and is void and unenforceable if the court, arbitration, tribunal, or administrative agency bases its ruling or decision in the matter at issue in whole or in part on any foreign law, legal code, or system that does not grant the parties affected by the ruling or decision the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges guaranteed by the State Constitution or the United States Constitution." HB 1209 is now in the House Judiciary Committee. SB 1360 is now in the Senate Budget Committee. Neither committee has scheduled their bill for consideration yet.

This is a sovereign nation, we make our own laws.
We do not need nor want the laws from other countries to have an effect here.
That goes ten times as much for Sharia Islamofascist laws.
We have to avoid the road that the British are going down as far as the muslims are concerned. That seems to be idea here, the muslims gaining control bit by slow bit. Unfortunately for the muslims, there’s too many fundemental Christians in the US who will not put up with their s#!t, and have the firepower to back it up. This is a battle that has been going on since the 9th century, and it appears it will not be ending anytime soon. It’s U.S. versus them, who do want to win?
